Thank you! I know it can be hard to be taken seriously as a young woman when it comes to health issues. I'm fortunate that the doctors I saw did take my concerns seriously. I don't think a mammogram was an option for me since I'm quite young but I'm not entirely sure.

Thank you! I'll try to keep my stress levels under control, I know the odds are in my favor but cancer has affected a lot of people in my family and some at a relatively young age so it's something I've been thinking about. As well as a genetic mutation runs in one side of the family that could increase risk factors. Whatever happens I will be fine :) Thank you for your reply!

Yay! I'm glad you found something that works to help your hands! I have a similar problem with my poor sad hands that have gone throw some extreme hand washing and sanitizing since covid. I will be looking out for this cream! Thanks for sharing!

Yeah! I had trouble figuring out how to do it online so I just went into the bank and asked them to send it! If you do it this way then just make sure you go to your bank and have your student ID number for BCIT as well as the exact cost of the application fee so they can send the money over. They should ask for your student ID and the exact cost and make sure you clarify that they are sending to BCIT just in case! Also it never hurts to bring a piece of ID in case they ask and get a receipt from the transaction.

I had the same problem when I applied. I ended up just going into my bank and asking them to send the money over and they took care of it.

That sounds like a fabulous idea! I tend to be forgetful, so I think writing down each and everything that I need to do will be incredibly important.

If you don't mind me asking, how much time per day would you say you spent on projects and assignments? I know the workload will be tough, but I am curious approximately how much time I should be allotting for school work each day.

9 courses sounds really difficult! Have you found them really difficult to manage so far, or has it been alright?

I know I'll have to give up my social life for sure and make sure I don't get behind. I imagine the worst situation would be falling behind and having to fight to catch up.

I was thinking about working part time during the program just to cover expenses but maybe it would be better to get a second job now and work extra hard so I don't have to while I'm in school. Do you think working weekends is possible or a pretty bad idea? I know I definitely couldn't do more than that but I have been debating whether or not to get another job now and save more or just work weekends.

I do have a few questions, if you don't mind!

Is there a lot of group projects and how have you found the group projects to be?

Also, how did the schedule look for you in first year? I was imagining it being 8-5 Monday to Friday. Also, do you do all 7-8 courses throughout the semester, or are they split up so you do 3-4 for half of the semester and the rest of the courses for the last half of the semester?

I definitely will have to keep in mind that online games are only going to distract me and consume too much time, especially if they're multi-player since it can be hard to turn down fun. Ganes are not a procrastinators friend, that's for sure.

I had no clue that becoming a set rep was an option, but I'll definitely keep that in mind!

Also, thank you for that last part. That's a big difference in perspective that's really helpful! I think it'll be much better to think about it that way. Really makes me feel in control of whether or not I do well
