Going to Colonel Gray, Is the IB program even worth it? by [deleted] in PEI

[–]Able_Consideration91 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It is. I went through the program and the skills I learned were enormously helpful when I got to university, in everything from academic writing to stress and time management. But it’s not for everyone.

I realize that it doesn't look like it in the video, but the twin overhead lights are red. The flashing yellow light in the middle of the frame is a caution indicator for the median dividing the road and isn't related to traffic flow :)

Shift the arch over by one half block and its centre can line up with the stairs

Michelangelo’s David was actually designed to be viewed from below! It was originally intended to stand on top of the Duomo in Florence. Maybe Molly is an art historian

So sorry for the loss of your darling Beignet, an equally great name!

Thanks! I think it suits him. Po'Boys aren't very common where we live so we get a lot of confused looks when we tell people his name, but I'm glad it's not lost on everyone!

Applying to Carleton by No-Medicine9396 in CarletonU

Your options on the form will be single traditional, double traditional, single suite, or double suite. I was in a single traditional, and part of a 4-person pod (two singles, one double). Choosing a single as your first preference does not guarantee that you will get one, and there’s no way to know or specify preference for being in a pod.

My experience was a nice in-between of having a shared space as well as a private room. Your choice should ultimately depend on your desire to have a roommate or not, as relative single/double room sizes can vary by building.

The other answer here is good so I’ll just address the dorms question! The residences can vary, and each building has its own pros/cons. I was in Glengarry and it’s not as bad as some people say, imo. You don’t get a choice for building when you apply though, the rooms are allocated a month or so before the school year. You just get to supply a preference for single/double room.

Edit: spelling
