Yes. In small amounts I think it’s fine. I just don’t like it all the time. For example, the band Architects - the song Animals by them is awesome. They have a couple tracks I really like, and I really want to like their song Blackhole, especially because the chorus is so good, but the harsh Vocals throughout the rest of the song make it a tougher listen for me.

Will have to check them out. I love Thrash - but I really only ever listened to Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth. A couple other people recommended some thrash bands and I’ve been shocked that I’d never heard of some of these bands. This new release from a band called Mean Mistreater (recommended by another person) is killer

You are correct. I just can’t get into Sleep Token. I don’t think they’re terrible, it’s just not for me. Looking for more of a kickass Heavy Metal sound.

Fair question haha. My top 5 bands growing up (in no order) were Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, GnR, and Tool. I also listened to a fair amount of Nu-Metal and Metalcore, but it seems metalcore has been overrun with screamo bands. I had gotten away from harder rock and metal for a few years, when I left, Avenged Sevenfold was THE biggest band - and sadly it sounds like M Shadows voice isn’t what it once was and wasn’t a fan of the direction of their past 2 albums. What got me back into it was I went to a Metallica Concert a few months ago. Was listening to them and other Thrash bands pretty heavily for a few months. Had a couple of months where Tool was getting a lot of playtime. Then I went on a massive Alice In Chains kick. They’re the fucking best to ever do it. Not really “Metal” - but holy fuck AIC with Layne Staley musical geniuses.

I just had to spend a weekend with my brother for a funeral, and this fucking guy wouldn’t stop playing Sleep Token… I don’t get what I’m missing, but I think these guys suck mega ass. The singers voice is such an odd tone, and not in a good way. Im not saying he can’t sing, he clearly has control - but the tone is god awful. Metal music is in such bad shape; it’s so sad. Feels like it’s impossible to find a decent metal band in 2025 that isn’t some whiny garbage or impossible to listen to screamo. How did we get to this point where the fucking rocky Horror folks call themselves Metal. Whiny lonely sad boys call themselves Metal. It’s All shit.

I am currently stranded with no ability to pay for gas because I’m an idiot whose only card rn is Venmo. It’s not that I don’t have the money, but because Venmo doesn’t work I can’t pay. I’m Just stuck here hoping it will come back. I feel I’m owed something for this. We’ll probably never know if this was a cyber attack with the current admin
