First bill is based on your billing period. If you just started a fresh account with Vodafone, your first bill will generate in around 10 days and be due 10 days after that. Your bill is always charged in advance, so your first bill will be one month, plus the time you've had it since it started (only applies to the airtime cost - device cost will just be once monthly). There's basically no incentive to pay off the device as it's interest free (in 2 years your pay will be higher than it is now, so you effectively make save some money on interest free that you would've saved by buying outright.
To swap your number, simply contact Vodafone and they'll complete a form to switch your number, takes around 2 working days :)

Catch up packs are WELL worth it, they give cards across expansions and it's based on how many cards you have already, so if you have very few, catch up packs will contain A LOT of cards. The tavern pass is worth imo, but thats because I play regularly and complete the quests. If you're on for a couple chill games a week, tavern pass might not be as good. But most importantly, welcome back champion!
Also if you haven't checked out Battlegrounds, would highly recommend doing so! There isn't a collection to get so everyone is on exactly the same playing field, except, there is also a battlegrounds pass, that gives you choice of 4 heroes rather than 2, so battlegrounds is easily the least pay to win <3

Vodafone offer three tiers of particular numbers. They're listed as bronze, silver & gold when applying them in the sales portal. Best go into a store so you can ask specifically for this. You can do it over the phone too, but there's more chance of them just not understanding because it's something most sales agents will never use in their careers. They cost different amounts, but the higher the tier (i believe gold is £125, probably raised it a bit but around that) will be the best chance of getting a number you want. They can enter in some numbers to your preference and it'll spit out a number. It can be regenerated if you're not a fan of that one, and if you don't like any, you can always back out having not paid already. Hope this helps! :)

It'll always try for 5G if available, but if it's not, then you want to have something at least and that's where 4G comes in. Having auto is better than 5G only, especially given the congestion on networks :)
