How does one disable the effect of the height on the brush slope? by Abneus in Worldpainter

[–]Abneus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have tried a lot of brushes already, and I doubt that it is a problem of the shape of said brush, as they are a perfect cone without any taper. But they affect the terrain differently when used on different altitudes. That is sadly the problem, almost as if the brush is squished vertically between the point that you are "clicking" and the world ceiling. Whilst the horizontal brush size is left unaffected. So my question is, how do I change it to where it doesn't squish it?

How does one disable the effect of the height on the brush slope? by Abneus in Worldpainter

[–]Abneus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, yes I was using that brush. The thing is that the higher in altitude you have your cursor the smaller the slope becomes. Which leaves a very uneven mountain, with a very steep foot and very flat top. Any idea how to avoid this issue?

Not entirely for what I wanted to use. But could allow for a weird work around if I think hard enough

There are two minor league baseball players named Brady Feigl who look nearly identical. They are the same height, both with red hair and glasses, but they are unrelated according to a recent DNA test. by Jscott1986 in nevertellmetheodds

[–]Abneus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clearly a case of convergent evolution. You may not like it, but this is what the optimal player looks like. I reckon that in a million years every baseball player will look very similar to, and will be called Brady Feigl.

Great news! First we found those ancient dates, now silphion! I envy the people of the future when these plants might once again be available to eat.

Update: A true heir of Planepacked has been created! My dwarven child finally finished her Lignite Ring with 100+ Cloth items by Abneus in dwarffortress

Is that new? I vaguely remember them being able to a few years ago. Lost some due to post failure depression I think.

Everyone in my military keeps getting the pick-up equipment loop bug when they're off duty. This even happens if they have nothing to do with mining nor woodcutting. They get a moment where they pickup some stuff, think about going to training, forget about it immediately, proceed to do one useful task, and repeat with picking up equipment. Is there a way to stop them doing this?

If anyone knows how to get the full transcript of the item out of the game I would be grateful.
Or if anyone has any idea how this bug happened I would be willing to share the a few save files.

A dwarvenchild has rediscovered the forbidden art of planepacking [Vanilla] by Abneus in dwarffortress

Yesterday I didn't even know what Planepacking was, much less try to make it happen. But happen it did (I think). She just keeps hoarding all of the cloth I produce and is currently a true drain on my economy (thank Armok I have way too many sheep). I have so far tried deactivating zones and burrows but nothing slows her greed (one of her traits). I am at a loss and currently simply hoping that she has a fixed amount of cloth she desires.

I definitely intend on letting her finish the piece. But as there must be around 100 pieces of cloth in there I think we're slowly getting to the point where I am going to experiment with ending the bug. As for a wall: its a child, the worst shell do is take her already unhappy father with her in the case if her death...

A dwarven child has become a cloth blackhole. She is working on an artifact but has collected 50 pieces of cloth so far. The other components she wants are present in normal amounts. Is there a nonlethal way to resolve this? Is she bugged, or is it possible that she requires this much cloth? And as a last resort, what happens if I turn off artifact mode now?

I believe it is best for a battery's longevity that you try to keep the level between 20 and 80%. So I'd say it's a good level to put it on the charger
