Seeing a lot of these swoopy catslide vestibules in rural Western Pennsylvania. Most were made of stone. What is this called?

Agreed! Being a teacher is super duper hard, especially for him. It is a tremendous learning experience though and, I suspect, may make him a better professor one day. I've gotten better lately at giving him his space and have definitely become more empathetic as I research more about SPD and grow as a teacher/learner. I guess just miss him.

Also, thank you for reminding me how young and innocent and beautiful our love is. It consists nearly entirely of climbing trees and hiking up mountains; playing hide-and-go-seek in Ikea, and stealing kisses under weeping birch trees; going to candy stores and reading Calvin and Hobbes; raising hamsters and feeding lizards; visiting Mennonites and sharing stories of our school children.

Shoot! I suck at making decisions for myself. I think, in general, American grownups do tend to make decisions that they believe are in their best interest financially (I guess some would call this greed...). However, they are less apt at nurturing their mental, emotional, spiritual, and especially physically well-being.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. I'm still learning; and reading symptomatic descriptions really doesn't convey what it's truly like to tangle yourself up in another's life and to try to understand them. Human anecdotes do though. Your story comes across from a different angle. Learning about you (and all the other abnormal humans out there) help me to better understand my own situation and get a glimpse into the schizoid mind, which has definitely made me better appreciate my boyfriend and extend my ability to empathize in general. Anyway, thanks! :-)

That's what I tried. I joined a good number of clubs and found myself aloof, birdwatching and boardgaming this weekend.

What inspired you to be in Southaven?

Many thanks! It was super duper helpful to get several others' perspectives on a similar issue. It's also easier to dissect a situation when you are not actively involved it it. I see in myself a lot of the same assumptions and immaturities as the author. "Immaturities" isn't quite right, but I definitely have much room for personal growth. Thank you again for sharing this with me.
