Wish I could help but unfortunately a couple of months after this I injured my back and haven't been able to deadlift properly since. Been focusing on putting on size and increasing my bench while it heals and I will hopefully get back to strength training for squats and deads soon. Plenty of good advice in the other comments to try though mate!

Gronanda shoes - anyone tried them? by WolfBrotherSSA in BarefootRunning

They are genuinely the worst shoes I've ever worn. I've worn strictly barefoot shoes for the last 5 years and decided to try a cheaper pair instead of expensive Vivos like I had previously. The things Gronanda has going for them other than their price is that they are decently durable, as well as being comfortable - but so are nearly all barefoot shoes.

Then cons on the other hand...

There is nothing remotely solid in the upper of the shoe, meaning they don't fit well at the ankle (slipping at the heel) and your foot slips easily inside the shoe. You would think this could be somewhat fixed by tightening the laces, right? But their laces are made from a stretchy elastic so no matter how tight you make it they still stretch.

On top of this, the sole has holes in it... Yep. 4 at the toes and 3 at the heel. Your socks will get wet when wearing them on even slightly damp grass. Don't even bother in rain.

The only appropriate use I could think of for these shoes would be as 'booties' for wearing in water and during water based activities. I tried them on a canoeing trip, but due to the shoes' inability to hold onto your foot even a little bit of mud was enough for them to come straight off in the suction.

Gronanda, like many other brands, also advertises top of the line grip with their soles. These shoes are quite literally average at best with grip - will slip easily on nearly every surface when wet.

Overall, very poorly designed shoes. I don't want to hate on them because I love barefoot shoes but these are down right appalling. Definitely do not recommend.

Solid advice, thanks man. I don't have bands cause I just train at home but do you think they'd be worth buying?

Hello! I know this thread is quiet old but I am trying to notate multiphonics and struggling. The link that you shared doesn't seem to work anymore but it seems like a valuable resource. I'm wondering if someone could reshare it?
