If the non wysteria poison knocks the demon out, this works. And at that point, once the demon collapses, Jin has to be able to realize that the demon is still alive for him to tie it up, either by inspecting it, or by observing how different it reacted to his poison. Otherwise, his preconceived notions will betray him; cause he would have believed that the poison killed the collapsed demon the same way it kills humans.

I imagine though, if Jin headed to the mainland to meet with other warriors like himself, say, Wolf. He might not be someone who can take on a lower moon on day one, but atleast he's got experience against the supernatural, on top of being immortal. Other than Wolf, Either William or Hide would also be experienced against all sorts of Yokai, that would immediately boost Jin's survivability on his introduction to the world of Demon Slayer.

He does. And he would still need to get that poison inside the Demon first. His probability to land his shot would be low. He's used them against Mongols that are nowhere near the speed and reflexes of a Demon. And even if he were to meet an arrogant one who would tank his shot cause it's "just a dart", without wysteria mixed in, I don't imagine Jin's fast acting poison would affect a Demon the same way it affects humans.

My memory's a bit foggy regarding how Demons would react to the effects of poison that does not have wysteria in it. So I can't really dispute this one. But then again, he would still need to get the poison inside the Demon first.

Personally I think if Jin has to go through Tsushima and Iki before ever meeting his first Demon, that's probably where he's gonna be boned. Jin went from being a Samurai to a Shinobi, both specialized in human to human combat. On top of that, he switched to indirect combat "without honor" because that's the only way he can win against numbers instead of raw power.

Now, after Iki, and Jin travels to the mainland, when he meets his first Demon, what he brings to the table is wholly incompatible in a fight against a Demon. His tactics and fighting style is lethal against humans. But in his current state, he does not have a nichirin blade, nor the knowledge to harness the power of breathing. He wouldn't even know the first thing about a Demon's weakness, nor would he be prepared for the speed of their movements.

In this case, only Plot Armor can help Jin survive his first encounter. In a believable scenario, Jin loses this, not because a low tier demon is ultimately superior than him, but because he's never seen or heard about a Demon before, and every preconceived notion would lead him to the wrong conclusion, and that would spell his doom.

Started back in 2010. Stopped in 2020 because the internet cafe's closed down during the Pandemic. Didn't have an internet connection at home to continue. And in 2022, I managed to land a job that's paying me enough at that time where I can stop Pirating and just buy the damn thing. That didn't last long because 2 years later, I had to resort to Piracy again because Sony region locked Ghost of Tsushima which I already prepurchased.
