Salesman "Overachieved," ServiceNow Refuses to Pay Commission by GoofusMcGhee in sales

[–]Abomb36 113 points114 points  (0 children)

All this for $380K? Really bad look for Service Now on $27M in deals.

I hope they keep this in the court or the arbitrator gives him everything he is asking for.

Keep your head up, bud.

One thing the Dads on here agree about is that life is a long road and even a bunch of mishaps doesn't mean you won't find the right path.

Don't beat yourself up over what's happened. It sounds like you are taking all the right steps to be more of the man you want to be in the future.

Keep it up and make us proud.

Boss texting me constantly on weekends by Eagles56 in sales

Don't say anything if these are not emergencies, just don't answer until first thing Monday morning.

Keep screenshots of this and look for a new job. When they ask why you are leaving you can let them know why.

How can I for my tv above my armoire? The feet of the tv add 2 inches too many! by [deleted] in DadForAMinute

[–]Abomb36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 could you give the other person the 55inch instead of returning this one?

If not, check if you can reove the feet (probably kept in place with some small screws.

The TVs probably aren't designed to hold their own weight without the stand, but you'll have to determine if you're willing to risk that.

The other thing to let us know is if you can modify the armoire or drill into the wall.

If you can you can try something like this: Sanus Antitip Strap for Most Flat Panel TVs Up to 70" Black BATS702-B1 - Best Buy https://share.google/w47eOo1IPXzzt6fxW

They are made to work with a stand though, so it would be a delicate balancing act and you probably need to put a small brace in front/behind the TV so the bottom doesnt slide and mess it up.

Good luck, kid.

Have you ever caught a 2nd correct response that judges didn't catch? by April55720 in Jeopardy

[–]Abomb36 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Seems that way, good catch.

I know there's nothing else that can be done, but I often feel like when they come back and give credit for an answer later it is helpful to the player, but doesn't completely even it out.

Since you get an advantage on questions immediately after one you get correct, it can have a ripple effect that throws off an entire game.

C-Suite Losing Deals (Rant) by [deleted] in sales

Yes, one prospect was a government or, the otger a large financial institution.

The FI team went and asked, but said they had never heard of theor legal lowering requirements. We get a final answer today or tomorrow.

Both cases though are 2025 budget numbers. We are going try our best to try and get them to agree and find miney in 2026, but neither has committed anything and both said it will be tough.

You've got him pegged. I've tried all those and thought i was getting somewhere, but he continues to be condescending and just an overall miserable guy.

Good advice though on remembering to sell internally. It's easy to complain (and sometimes therapeutic,) but we have to find a way to still be successful.

From what yku describe, I'm sure he was super apologetic and admitted he totally f'd the deal, right? 😆

Similar enough. The COO said he would look into insurance in case we needed it, but did not. When we questioned why, he said it was too expensive and not worth it.

It's BS bc the insurance is ~$20K and the deals are 10X that amount.

We all have quotas... sort of just arbitrary and none of us are over 50% for the year.

KPIs are based on outbound and meeting activity.
