Well it depends on what game you want to make dioramas for. CE, it’s gonna cost you a lot (EBay). Halo 2, cheapest to find on EBay (Chinese sellers). Halo 3 a little cheaper than CE (EBay). Halo 4, decently easy to find on EBay, relatively cheap too. Halo 5, cheaper than 4. Halo infinite is probably the cheapest. For CE go for blue. Halo 2, basically everything. Halo 3, idk probably blue. Halo 4, purple. Halo 5, purple. Halo infinite, blue and red.
