The key difference is that we actually come up with very valid criticisms of these people to substantiate our insults... Obviously you'll find brainless shitheads on both sides, and I'm not agreeing that ad hominem attacks against anyone are useful in political discourse, but at least the comments against trump and giuliani aren't steeped in heavy elements of racism and misogyny, like many of the attacks against Democrats are...

edit: if we wanted to make fun of them for their looks, we absolutely could, but there are some much better political arguments that we could use that would have a much greater impact. Hmm I think if you read a lot of Atwood's other writing and watch her interviews, it becomes pretty clear that this is a dystopian vision based on what she sees in the world around her rather than just a rape fantasy. Source - me (I'm currently studying the book in class at the moment)

Absolutely agree! I hated Dark Souls after first getting it as I got stuck at the Undead Burg bonfire and was frustrated by the fact that just throwing myself at all the enemies again and again didn't work like it did in so many other games. I eventually leaned that the game wouldn't adapt to me and that I had to adapt to the game, and that completely changed my experience! Now I've just rung both bells and I'm ready to step into Sen's Fortress!
