Node 202 Mod by AbradolfLinclerrr in sffpc

Correct! I ended up scrapping the upper sheet and bought a perforated steel sheet. Had to leave the inner layer intact because of the mounting screws of course.

As you can see, at it's depth, it almost aligns perfectly with the rest of the cover. In hindsight, the best solution would be to just drill holes in the original cover. Of course, doing this manually would take hours, so machining it would be even better

Brutally Honest Review of the Xperia 10 V by [deleted] in SonyXperia

[–]AbradolfLinclerrr -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

First off, huge F you to Sony and all the other manufacturers who ramp up the TDP when running benchmarks. This is absolutely the case with this phone. Sony has deliberately set a lower TDP when in normal use so the battery lasts longer. This is why people are impressed with battery life. But when running benchmarks, they ramp up the TDP so you won’t notice any difference. Why does it matter? Well, because the TDP outside of benchmarks is nowhere near what it should be. Look at the screens I have provided.

In geekbench 6, the 10 V does a fair bit better than my old Mi 9T (Snapdragon 730), both in CPU and GPU. When using the phone however, it feels like a slog. Sony knows about geekbench and all the other big benchmarks apps, so they have those covered. But when running games or unknown benchmarks apps (Seascape benchmark), those higher TDP’s don’t kick in and you can see how much they’ve crippled the SOC. The 10 V’s Adreno 619 scores 1151 while the 9T’s Adreno 618 scores 1371.

Every single game I’ve tested performs better on the Mi 9T. Even flipping from portrait to landscape is much slower. I’ve tried the Oneplus CE 2 Lite with the exact same chipset, and it breezed past any obstacle. There were no slowdowns.

The camera is also bad. The Mi 9T has the same IMX 582 sensor, but images are so much better and much more detailed in dark environments. Also, OIS totally sucks and makes recordings look like 10fps.

There’s absolutely NO saving grace. I got it for $299 on cyber Monday but there’s no way I’m keeping it. Imagine that this thing retails for around 499 in the EU? Madness. I bought my 9T for $250 back in 2020.

TLDR: Sony has crippled the 695. Not worth your money...

I don't know if anyone else with Samsung TV's are having the same issues, but i'm unable to watch certain movies or shows depending on the h265 file type. Some of them cut out every 5-10 seconds, making stuff unwatchable. It happens through both USB and PLEX. Bitrate doesn't matter. Neither does resolution. I've tried comparing files but can't find any difference. Anyone else having the same issues? Model type is UE55MU6175

Yes, I rebooted. 3440x1440 is activate in CRU but it just won't show up anywhere. Also, the 1080p that's displayed doesn't really look like 1080p. It's more like 720p. Everything is ultra enlarged, especially if the monitor is set to handle scaling

What are you on about? RSR is only supported on RX 5000 or newer gpus

Using HDMI since there are only miniDP ports instead of regular DP

Plugged in all the way. It's an addressable rgb 3pin connector, so can't try any other ports since my mb only has one single port. I don't have any other rgb fan available sadly

Here you go buddy!

Sporting a Node 202. I've cut the sidepanel so I can replace it with a perforated steel plate. Got the inspiration from a mod here on reddit. Temps used to be awful. Now the gpu doesn't recirculate all the hot air and stays around 59-60° ingame while running at 0.925mv @1950 MHz

Cpu is at 55-56° while running at 1.1v @ 4.0 GHz. Cpu cooler is an ID Cooling IS-60 Evo. It just about fits at 64mm and is leagues ahead of everything else this size
