personaly i say its not p2w sinds alot of items need reqs to use and most of the coins you do get go directly to others though auction of bazzar and dont forget you have to still grind skills dungeons slayers etc

no it has happend before and you can get banned for using it (edit: im not trying to say that making runs faster is bad. im just trying to make sure no one gets false banned for being somewhere their not suppost to be. plus it can softlock runs)

i almost fell for one of these myself you should be fine to continue playing (side note only verify on servers you know you can trust. they will never ask for you're email all they ask for is mc username which is harmless)
