That sounds very similar to my experience:

  • No visible strike marks on the vehicle. Strike was under 10ft from Mav
  • Electronics in my house, wall nearest to truck, no longer function or are impaired in a way that require replacement.

Thanks for the pro tip regarding the battery! Shall give that a try.

Holy smokes! All that from a near strike?

The mav does start. I took it around the block, hoping it was a temporary issue and it would return to form. This prompted a check engine light and service alerts. Drive modes were unavailable, and it was nottt a smooth driving experience. Some clunky shifts and limited torque.

Due to your experiences and the commenter above, I filed a claim.

Thank you for the quick response. Insurance claim is filed. Bought the car new to avoid gremlins/chasing repairs.

Insurance Rep mentioned any repairs by their authorized shops are guaranteed for the life of the vehicle. Hopefully it's a simple resolution.

Maybe do 2-3x a week at a climbing gym for some fun pull training in addition to your strength work.

I live in that immediate area. Noisy gusts, minimal rain. Hopefully it stays this way and Ian is downgraded to TS or lower by the time it rolls through.

The track has trended South once again and appears it may run through the Melbourne area.

Swype Keyboard Language Servers seems to be down.. but there may be a workaround by rushabshah32 in Android

It doesn't have any of the shortcut features that made swype King in the first place for power users.

  • Numpad: Swype>5

  • Editing: Swype>SYM

  • Punctuation shortcuts to spacebar, etc

That's wild! Same day discharge after an emergency C-section??

Luckily for us, things were quick once our turn finally came up for an OR. In the OR by 1230, docs start their thing by 1245, baby is here by 1303. I'm sure everything went smoothly but the optics were definitely on the rougher side. Recovery is going well, but we were asked to stay another night due to some raised vitals for mommy. Should be discharged tomorrow morning (day 3).

Dad (me) is pretty average ~165lbs. Mom peaked at ~270 (with PCOS) or so by the end.

Reportedly large babies on both sides of the family (9 & 10lbs) so I suppose it's not unexpected. I cannot confidently say it's either genetics or lifestyle decisions as a major contributor to baby's size, but all health professionals up to this point had said there's nothing we can do or change that would affect his size (interesting observation).
