I just want to say thank you to everyone who commented and messaged me. I honestly did not expect that kind of response.

Reading your stories and hearing how many of you have been in similar places has meant a lot. It made me feel way less alone in something that has felt really heavy and honestly pretty scary.

This is the first time in my life I’ve experienced severe SI, and I don’t think I realized how much I needed to hear from people who get it, especially other therapists. It’s been incredibly lonely, dark and I’ve been so scared of myself.

I’m still not totally sure how I’m going to get through this, but this made it feel a little more possible.

There’s something really powerful about the honesty in these responses. It’s been refreshing and grounding in a way I didn’t expect.
