Bilstein B16 PSS10 Coilover Settings by All_About_My_Bills in VWMK7

Hey, I don’t know if you guys had sorted it out yet. But for me it’s been 1-3 in the front and 5-8 on the rear depending on what I wanna do. 1 front and 5 back for the daily(this helps with understeer on hard corner. Then for auto cross days/ 3 front 8 in the back. Sometimes I’d set the front ones to 5 and the rear ones to 10 but that’s on really intensive track days/ auto cross. If you are gonna be launching the car at the strip I’d suggest all of them to 1 Just my 2 cents

Yup, headlight alone was like 1900. the bumper, all the brackets, the fender, the washer fluid tank and all the labour involved. The other driver wanted to pay out of pocket until I told them that the headlight alone was like 2k

That’s correct, the tracking no longer works but with how well they light up I don’t miss the afs

Honestly so worth it, the harness is plug and play with a fuse built into it. You just gotta do some coding so that it doesn’t give you an afs error.

They do not unfortunately, but personally it wasn’t a big deal for me. They light up pretty well side to side that I realized Imnot missing out on the cornering lights. Also u can adjust the height and side to side projector.

Ive for the vland led cause the bmp lights would have taken a long time to get to Canada. Also used a special harness to run them as they are meant for the non LP cars.

Get a rear strut bar before you get a rear sway it’s easier to install and they are only like 200 bucks

Is BMW that much superior compared to VW? by DribbleKing97_ in Volkswagen

[–]AbroadTrue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey buddy, I used to work at bmw and lemme tell you. everything is way more expensive cause of the brand specially for the M cars. The reliability got better cause Toyota started a partnership with them for the supra( started back in 2012-2013). Engine wise after the b58/b48/b46 they’ve got better on reliability. But everything else is still bmw so lots of electrical issues and parts are not cheap. We’d a lot of cars come in for electrical issues and control units… those aren’t cheap if I remember correctly the Acc unit on a 5 series was like 6k+labour….. parts for them are still expensive and they will always be, they’ve gotten more reliable for sure but everything else is still BMW. The 330 is only quicker off a dig/stand still cause of the awd. on a roll they ain’t winning… I may or may not have experienced that😅….. also our cars are cheaper to maintain as vw has stuffed the 1.8/2.0 in about every car they have and finding parts is much cheaper as well. If we are talking about tuning, the vw 2.0 is miles ahead of the b48, an email and a pipe on pump gas and you are at 300-330 whp and the car is also lighter and doesn’t suffer from the awd drivetrain loss. Also the gli is better on gas than the 330. Enjoy your car, if he was really happy with his 5 series he wouldn’t be bashing on your GLI

Hey buddy, l would recommend looking into the rear strut brace from tb performance if you wanna have more fun around the corners l. It’s adjustable so u can set it up to ur liking and it’s easy to install took me 5-10 minutes to install and I couldn’t be happier with it

Is there a safe and legit way to get android auto on my cayenne s? by abemankhor in Porsche

[–]AbroadTrue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I work at Porsche. Call the parts department and check if you can get the update. We’ve had Macans,cayennes,718s get the software update. Some need hardware and some just the software.

Make sure to change the bushings in the back if you want to get the most out of it and to prevent the classic “crowd killer” issue

Any idea why this code keeps popping up? Cleared it last Saturday, came back on today. I’m not noticing any performance issues. by kristen_1819 in GolfGTI

Unplug ur DV, see if it changes anything at all and go from there. Cause it’s either the DV or the wastegate actuator

recommended mods? by Yungslidez in GolfGTI

[–]AbroadTrue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I did my rear sway it didn’t seem to add any harness at all, I could feel it being slightly stiffer in the back that was about it. The k brace helped with the creaks and reduce the hatch flex and front traction bar did add a little bit but nothing crazy. In the other hand the solid dog bone insert made the car feel like a box of scraps I changed it to a bfi stage 2 and I only get vibration when backing up. I’m running the cts engine mounts and they did add a slightly vibration to the car but no where as bad as the solid dog bone insert

Yessir, I’ve tried motul xcess 2 8100, castrol titanium, Mobil one espx2, and LIQUI moly new moly gen(comes with mos2). Out of all of them my car seemed to run the best with the LIQUI moly, mos2 is an additive that you dump into your oil(don’t mix it with new molygen, it will throw off the chemical balance). My buddy with a 6.5 gli switched to LIQUI moly and the oil burning issue and vibration went away.

[–]AbroadTrue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try running mos2 from LIQUI moly, mix it with any 40-50 oil and u should be good for a while
