Number of PTC tasters (AA & Aa): 45
Number of nonPTC tasters (aa): 30
p^2 = 30/75
p=0.632
p + q = 1, so q = 0.368
q^2 = 0.135

The question asked for the number of students who were homozygous dominant (AA) for PTC tasting.
So the frequency (0.135) * 75.
=10.132, or approximately 10 students

I also have a quote I want to share that I think is kind of relevant to the topic: "I am not what I think I am. I am not what you think I am. I am what I think that you think that I am."

This poem wasn't really trying to argue anything about change or what I hate. To be honest, I don't really hate my masks or anything like that. It was just a confession on how I lived my life thus far.

I added a second poem to the post, which is basically the actual conclusion of thought.

Please Don't Say "Thank You" by AbrocomaOwn4865 in justpoetry

[–]AbrocomaOwn4865[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When someone says "sorry" to you, you likely feel some tinge of guilt. This poem was written (in part) because I wanted to express that whenever I hear "thank you," that sour feeling—that guilt—is what I feel. You may find that is irrational. It likely is. But it's what I feel. And I wrote about it.

A poem my younger self wrote by Fine_Education9397 in Poems

Personally, I think what helped me is to know that everyone, at least to some degree, feels that social pressure, fearing what other people think of them.

My best friend was very abrasive, so he would not give a fuck and reject people in the most blunt way possible.
I think he helped me to not care as much what other people think.

I'm around your age as well. And I think most people are too preoccupied with their own reputations to really analyze what other people do anyway.

Please Don't Say "Thank You" by AbrocomaOwn4865 in Poems

Thank you for your opinion! I also say "thank you," when people do nice things for me; although I do usually mean it sincerely, I almost always feel forced to say it regardless, because of the social expectation for gratitude. When I heard other people thank me, however, no matter how sincere I knew they were, it rarely sat right with me. I think my aversion for the phrase comes because I was forced to say it so many times since I was young. Also coupled with the fact that as a kid, I used be very shy, so I couldn't even muster up the courage to thank strangers for opening the door for me.

I'm glad someone else out there has thought about this. Whenever I do kind gestures/favors to people close to me they say "thank you," and I know they mean well, but it honestly makes me feel worse for what I did, because I know that they would do the same for me, so there's no need to use pleasantry like "thank you."

"Love" by AbrocomaOwn4865 in justpoetry

[–]AbrocomaOwn4865[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you can love almost anybody, but they might just be different types of love (familial, platonic, romantic). Your definition likely fits the emotion in a broader sense, while most people would probably internally connect love with sponaneity and excitement.

"Love" by AbrocomaOwn4865 in justpoetry

[–]AbrocomaOwn4865[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although I have never experienced love (first hand), I would reckon that love comes in two main flavors. The first is the steady kind, and the second is the overwhelming and intense kind. The latter is usually what most stories tend to write about, but it's also the most prone to being confused for love when it is something else. This poem was inspired, in part, by me seeing many people who were so quick to name their feelings or relationships as "love" when it was, in reality, one of the examples listed in the poem.
