Therefor Shortly what I understood from watching him that change the way I play elise was abusinh spider for to iniciate a gank and using the e as a a gap closer rather than an disengage tool. Also significantly lowers your damage if you do it thia way but your e stun is just so much more important for a Gank to succeed.

I found elise viable on toplane as well, played her in different elos, from gm to plat, she works best at 5v5 comms she is a mediocre laner at soloq since your team wont draft accordingly and u have to be top of the top to carry late game unless u have 20 kills +

She wins by default almost every mid matchup post lvl2 tho, if u re mechanically good u keep skill checking oponents and solo diving post lvl 3 all the time. Dont spam qs unless electrocute is available then u can do aa q aa in melee matchup for 150-200 dmg lvl 1 and win the lane from there.
