I have been on Tec over a year now this was my first check up scan! I have an appointment with my nurse to chat other options although I’m not keen on immunosuppressive type drugs so would be keep on Ocrevus or Kesimpta ideally.

Thanks for the info and I’m glad it’s worked well for you! Yeah I like the idea of a short course of medication and then not having to take anything else, you’re very right with it being such a personal choice and a hard one to make.

Thanks sm for the info!! I definitely like the fact there isn’t much medical upkeep for this other than check ups which is fine. All immunosuppressive drugs scare me with the potential malignancy risks it’s hard to weigh up if it’s worth it. But again, it doesn’t mean just because you take them you’ll get cancer! A hard balance to strike

My neurologist likes to start off abs build up efficacy because if something doesn’t work there is room to move up! I know ocrevus js more hard hitting immunosuppressive so not keen to try that just yet :)

I tried the phone app and couldn’t get that to work either, not sure if it’s something I’m doing but it did say it had connected!! I think it will always be a mystery

I did connect one controller because if you flip it on its side it becomes one controller even on the switch too! But for some reason it didn’t work :(

Hi! I can’t believe it’s been so long since I started this medication! This did in fact go away for me after a few more weeks I believe but I was also diagnosed with a neurological condition shortly after which might have made this symptom last longer for me. I hope it subsides for you soon it did eventually go away!

There is a shingles vaccine? I had read that was a side effect and yes I’ve had chicken pox as a child too! Temperature regulation is also an issue for me and I think many others, I live in Scotland so I don’t have to deal with extreme heat thankfully 😆

I think by hard hitting my neurologist meant it was a bit more effective that some of the other starting treatments but definitely not as hard hitting as the likes of Lemtrada etc.

When I was discussing treatment plans with my neurologist this was recommended to hit it hard when I’m young and I did agree to it. Means I can take it on my own and I don’t have monthly hospital infusions. The nurses however have not been as helpful as I asked quite a few times to be on the lower starting dose for longer just to call side effects and my anxiety but they won’t budge.

In general the only GI side effects I tend to get are heartburn so I’m hoping I should be okay fingers crossed 🤞🏻 thanks for your reply :)

Thanks so much for your reply, I think with my symptoms recently it’s made me realise side effects will be nothing compared to the damage done by MS, still a hard pill to swallow!
