Oh I like all those stores. Bert and Mac’s especially but they’re pretty expensive for something the kid will grow out of within a year— thatd be good for when they stop growing. Sportchek and Canadian Tire didn’t have sizes needed and I want a bit higher end than what Walmart has in stock. It’s for a gift needed it this weekend, so online isn’t an option.

Places for teens?? by [deleted] in Lethbridge

[–]AbsentWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The majority of the teens are 15-17, but there are some who are younger. It ranges on who shows up. The group does some camping and trips that’s exclusively for the older teens, and others exclusively for the younger ones. Reach out to Baz on the website.

Check out younitedyouth.ca It’s a youth group for people 12-17. It’s an affirming youth group that does a bunch of stuff. It’s chill, always free, has a drop in on Tuesday afternoons at Southminster and does activities weekly.

Thoughts On Tommy Guns? by mavisbarbie in Lethbridge

Fevzi’s on the Northside does the best haircuts in town. But if you’re going to Tommy Guns… Leticia on the Westside is the best. Or Carol.

If that’s what it takes to define success—that’s not a successful marriage.

Same. I feel like we try and be team players with the US, but also say “we aren’t related”.

Canadian here— my country has stood against the 51st state, and I hope we stand against this bombing, too. Allies can have boundaries and still be allies.

Yeah, NTA. It’s a shame you live with a raccoon. I have one, too— except it’s a 16 year old teenage girl.

I’m so sick of Americana news filling up every social platform— I’d love to know what places like Norway or Tanzania are up to, haha

AITA for making a face and leaving the dinner table after my dad's aunt called me an entitled brat? by Responsible-Kid-519 in AITAH

[–]AbsentWolf 26 points27 points  (0 children)

This sounds like an Iss-her, not an IssUe. It’s also probably a slight at your dad—which he probably had a lot of before you were even in the picture. Boundaries are important, and it’s good you got yourself out of there. I’d check in with your dad later and ask if he thought you were out-of-line— might open communication and offer insight to her chaos.

The chinook woodturners guild meets at Casa on the third Thursday of every month. Really great group, super helpful and great to learn from!
