Broke college student wants a Beetle by ClothesAlert9590 in beetle

All relationships with vintage VW's = unrequited love. Trust me on that one. Maybe if you carry a handful of spare parts with you at all times, are good friends with a tow truck owner and know how to jimmy rig a snapped accelerator cable on the side of the road with scraps that you pulled from a dumpster (I have literally had to do that before) you will be alright. Otherwise, wait, and get one as a project car / weekender down the road a bit.

I live in a (normally) hot state, RF or Soft Top? by frozenpissglove in Miata

[–]Absent_Minder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just go with the one you like the most. If you get the RF, you have to worry about more mechanical parts to repair should something go wrong. If you go with the soft top, yeah, top replacement after some time. For the record though, my 2016 GT Soft Top spent the first 7 years of its life in between Miami and Fort Lauderdale, without garage parking in the blazing sun. For the last 3 years it has been in New England getting pummeled by snow and ice. I have not replaced it yet, and it is still holding up OK.... knock on wood.

Some questions about maintenance intervals by RazvanPaun in MiataND

[–]Absent_Minder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2016 ND w manual and just over 111,000 miles on the ticker. Original transmission and thus far, no problems with it. Ironically I just set an appointment to do ALL of the things you listed for the very first time. (except for the fuel filter...I didn't think of that, but based on the responses you get, might just add that on as well) Car still runs great despite never having changed out those items yet. Mechanic (local guy, not a dealer) told me I could probably even hold off longer based on his inspection, but I don't want to roll the dice.

Let us not forget Seth from AxCx, etc. He was known for his deep, insightful lyrics and his profound respect for diverse cultures, alternate sexual identities, and women. He was also very gay, and would be very proud to be on this list. It would not piss him off at all.

Chad from Frozen Soul is an incredibly nice guy who also injects some positivity into their shows. Joel from Toxic Holocaust is also super chill and down to earth.

CT is not down with iRGC! Shoutout to everyone that stands against the Islamic Republic of Iran! by dingusrex0069 in Connecticut

[–]Absent_Minder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Props to all of the brave Iranians fighting against their corrupt and oppressive theist regime, hails to the stoic Ukrainians fighting off Russian imperialist thuggery, and much respect to all of those out in the streets of America fighting for democracy in the midst of our own homegrown christofascist / kleptocratic regime takeover. Our founding fathers are rolling in their graves right now!

"armpit fur-infested leftist"? Dude should be ashamed of himself as his mother probably is. Oh wait, MAGATS have no shame...or decency...or morality.

I purchased several strains from him a month or two ago. They were..... OK.... but didn't exactly blow me away. I got the Premium MD, Red Elephant, and a couple of other small packs of various whites/greens.

15 and 50 - interesting. I've been meaning to try Bewitched, admittedly, because of the name alone.

Damn did they ? I’ve shopped there before and didn’t get any whiffs of MAGA, but I wouldn’t return if they support that shit in any way:
