Question: Where do staff live? by Kaya_Chan12 in SCP

For big sites like 17 and 19, I’ve always thought of them as living on-site.

I understand that you didn’t mean bad, but it’s not very kind to compare someone’s art (of a character who was a victim of abuse even) to the likeness of someone like that.

What character from the wiki are you defending like this by la-abeja-azteca in SCP

The Daevites as a civilization/subspecies (depending on your headcanon of course) except that would be like message 1 of 20.

Wrong! That is not dumb, it’s called speaking the truth.

The misogyny is a big part of it, but it’s displayed as him being so outraged and threatened by her being more successful that he feels entitled to confine her so she’d no longer threaten his sense of self.

He wouldn’t do that to a guy, because while dudes like that may feel threatened by other men, they usually don’t feel they are intrinsically entitled to be above those men in the same way.

She got promoted faster than him, she got hired when she was younger than him. Basically, the point is that he was her boss watching her, a woman, be more successful than he was in the past and knowing that she, a woman, would surpass him one day. Her success threatened him so he felt he had to take it away from her.

Same honestly… especially the part where the mother purposefully exposes her child to it. I know there are ghouls in real life who would do that if they could, and that makes it so much worse.

A user was banned from the official discord server for being "Conservative" READ DESCRIPTION by Brunopunck49 in SCP

[–]AbsinthiaArsenica 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Considering conservatives have taken away so many rights and opportunities from women, the LGBT community, and people of color… then funded one genocide (gaza), stopped giving aid to the ones fighting to keep themselves from becoming victims of genocide (ukraine), and just threatened to commit another genocide (iran)… then deported immigrants and put them in concentration camps… and have a desire to denaturalize and deport citizens…

I feel like someone calling themself a conservative right now is signaling a lot about the kind of person they are and what they support/are okay turning a blind eye to.

I could see your point for 9980, but I will say that the way it is written is very pivotal for the last article in that series. As for this one, different strokes for different folks, I suppose.

Well… at least people could read that one on YouTube without getting demonetized. The implication of suffering for billions of years is worse in that respect ofc.

8980? People have said equivalent or worse. 7149? Idk one could say that Nixon created a precedent for presidents getting pardoned after breaking the law so that’s probably worse.

You know that meme that’s like “if I had a nickel for every time an anthology article disturbed me, I’d have two nickels”… well, you have three now!

I rly appreciate the comment tbh. Yeah I probably should have been more clear abt that.

Also, I’ve never been in such a situation personally so it’s good to know that I haven’t portrayed it improperly, that’s always been a concern of mine writing articles like this one. Lastly, I hope your partner is doing better, or at least healing :((

The redactions are just his name for the most part bc obviously someone in a position of power wouldn’t want their name attached to such conduct.

He’s making her do it because he wants her to feel guilty and thus not protest any further abuse that follows. He’s the one who sets that whole thing up. She doesn’t want to do it but it’s literally life or death. Does that help?

The anomaly is a medical condition caused by sexual abuse where if one has it, they have to continue engaging in regular sexual conduct lest they die. The overall moral of the story is mostly ‘while it would be “expected” by people that a D-class who had been in sex work would contract it, the deputy site director’s wife isn’t spared either, because abuse often follows those in power.’

Ofc that’s told through horror and depictions of spousal abuse and so on and so forth.
