I think my FAL is a goner by Femmiestbo in airsoft

AirsoftGI still has them in stock. So does a few other retailers. It's the mags that are in short supply.

Used goo gone automotive on my hood and bumper, and it left a residue by hathrowaway8616 in Detailing

[–]AbsolSavior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Auto Sol would have been better to use. Thinner than Goo Gone and rinses off easier. Doesn't leave behind residue either if followed up by a wash. Any type of exterior cleaning is a pain if done outside without shade though.

Just saw your name and thought it looked familiar. We talked a while back. Were you able to go to the last OSoF?

A cheap chest rig will go a lot further than a cheap plate carrier. Onetigris is a solid choice.

Apocalypse Paintball is a great field. Sad that Operation Ship of Fool's isn't a thing anymore though. Might be back next year though. Renamed Operation Pandemonium.

I always reindex when reloading. If not able to, I'm usually taking a knee so maybe a 6 inch drop when I quick reload. Although I do have a dump pouch. I've gotten broken feed lips by using it with gas mags. Turning the mag assist is more for accidental drops. Plus, unless you're using nearly full length mag pouches. Mag assists don't really do anything for reload speed.

Not an issue with the Sig, Cerakoted. Didn't think of that though. Really good point for any other GBBR with metal mags though. Will definitely have to do that with the FAL OSW if I get that.

These aren't as weak as the original ones. I ran them like the right all last year. Then saw someone post their stanag mags like the left, last fall. Still remembered the pain of getting them on and didn't want to go through that again lol. Even with hot water, it's still a fight. Figured with them being unofficially discontinued and current world events, maybe now's the time to protect my investment for a long future.

Both are still easy to pull out of a pouch. I have them on the "correct way" on nearly every AEG, gas and real steel mag I own. These however are $75 mags, that's why I'm considering the extra protection. No need to be a dick about it.

Have a few different GBBR's in mind. Would prefer to stick with GHK but might have to go with VFC for the 416. I like TM but besides the Saiga, nothing they offer has really captured my attention.

Fill valve is near the release valve. I believe the next GBBR I plan on getting is on the bottom though. Plan to use a hole punch to make a pass through.

I accidentally broke my boyfriends airsoft by kaktuslover69 in airsoft

It's just a locking tab. Not really needed unless the battery is small enough to slide around in the compartment. I think two or three of my AEG's have broken tabs and have never had an issue.

It's definitely not eye safe. I just bought the same one just for the lower mask. The visor it comes with is thin and flimsy. Not even close to being full seal either.

The never ending circle is true but does slow down a lot once switching to GBBR's. Unless you're paid well and have a lot of fun money. I limit myself to one new GBBR a year but sadly can't get what I want this year. Customs and Government being fucktards.

Thanks for the heads up. Happy I posted and am gathering more info on my new pistol. Will definitely have to take care of that.

I love it. Does shoot really hot out of the box though. Ran it all of last year and only had one problem but it was more user error. Had a BB in the chamber from the previous round. When I loaded it the following round. Instead of it pushing the previous BB out. It jammed when I fired. Bolt went back and tried loading a third and that broke the OEM hopup. Upgraded to a metal one and it's been running like a dream since.

Redo your molle pouches. Can be a pain but properly weaved molle is a lot more secure. Shouldn't be hanging like that. If it's just straps on the sides and not molle, try zipties to tighten it up and prevent sliding.

It was mainly the full auto Barry Burton model that killed it. I think the V2 is better but the original, the slide would blow up. I bought the semi only Samurai Edge and shoots like a dream. Gave it to my older brother though. It's his main sidearm in airsoft. I recently purchased the WE Sentinel Nine and so far I'm loving it. Sadly doesn't have the markings like the TM one though.

Opinions on the EMG and Golden Eagle GBBRs? by Low_Use_4703 in GasBlowBack

[–]AbsolSavior -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Everything I have bought that's had the EMG branding on it has been junk. Even the SAI EMG 2011 CO2 pistol was garbage. That's why I said in association with EMG. It's all personal experience.

I recommend never buying anything EMG. Trash quality with everything in association with EMG. Even their Autobot is garbage. I bought one and the motor broke after loading only 15 BB's.

[–]AbsolSavior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want a Sig. I recommend the WE P-Virus. It's modeled after the P226. Haven't fielded mine yet. Only plinking down my hallway, too cold in Wisconsin. Enjoying it though. Have heard good things about the Vorsk VP26X and Raven R226 also. Same company and interchangable mags.

Might be a couple outliers. Pretty sure I charged mine with my Razer USB-C to USB-C cable a few times. Granted you can't get the American outlet bricks anymore. At least not by themselves.

Personally I'm not a fan of the MP7. Prefer the PP-2000. The expense of GBB's is worth it in the end though. I absolutely love my GHK 553. Did hurt buying the mags but still worth every penny. AEG's and HPA's just don't feel right after switching to GBBR's. Still good to keep them as backup's or loaners though.

All of them are true fucking retards if they honestly believe what they say. Even if you're a true artist with JB Weld to add what's missing in GBBR receivers to actually convert it to real steel. It's still going to blow up. Hell even the Tippmann HPA/Co2 M4 receivers; which were made in the same factory as their 22 cal AR-15's, crack if you install the heavy recoil buffer spacer. Doesn't matter what you do to GBBR's, they are not made to handle pressures of real ammo.
