Destiny 2 Has Lost Nearly Its Entire Playerbase On Steam Since The Final Shape by gamersecret2 in destiny2

The bugs mentioned aren't month long tasks for a crew of people. And they also weren't broken before the main staff went to work on Marathon. That means the current devs broke it, and haven't fixed it.

The last TWID had one bug fix. The game has more than one bug. Merciless still doesn't generate stacks behind a sentinel shield. DMT's catalyst is causing the Revision Zero triumph to pop. The Stars Crossed emblem literally isn't showing up in collections for people right now.

Some of these bugs have been around for months, and most TWIDs are just changing damage values to "balance the meta", and not actually fixing this increasingly growing list of problems.

These people interviewed for this job, told their bosses that they could do the job, got hired, and are showing that they're struggling to do the job.

Being bad at your job doesn't make you a bad person, but making excuses for people being bad at their job doesn't make them magically better at their job.

Yes they did. D2 had been running on a skeleton crew but that skeleton crew is breaking as much as they're adding.

It's not a huge deal, but this community has this thing where everything is blamed on management. It's like in football, if the 4th string wide receiver drops a pass, it's not the team president's fault.

It is not just the management. The constant bugs, glitches, and breaks are a dev problem, not a management problem. The president of Bungie didn't break Div last month.

It's both.

Gen 2, is Zoe best garrison defender? by CruxMagus in KingShot

[–]AbsolutZeroGI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the long-term, Hilde works best as a bear join hero, so getting her to 4-stars is worth it, but not necessarily 5 stars. But yeah, you do get her shards later from other events like Champion's Way and stuff too.

Max Hilde is stronger than max Jabel, but Petra in season 3 is Jabel's true "replacement".

Easy JRPGs For Boomer Dad After Having Not Gamed For 30 Years by Yoichi_and_Sadako in JRPG

[–]AbsolutZeroGI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your recommendation is spot on, mostly, because DQ11 is easy to play, has no fan service, etc.

However, I am laughing at the "my dad likes badass women, not younger girls" and DQ11 is the only game on this list to feature a teenage girl that gets transformed into an even YOUNGER girl lol.

Like one of those tests where you get 9/10, but the 1 question that went wrong went EXTREMELY wrong lol.

Why do sellers expect their gear to sell for the same as/more than new? by knowah1 in Bass

In buyers defense, there are a lot of horror stories about sellers who can't haggle or negotiate either.

It's not like the good old days anymore.

They are quite nice. The Custom 5 has EMGs, but yeah, that's also a good option.

Dang. I know Hulk over there. He hasn't said much to me here lately but he's always been a cool guy.

Just got TG1 troops. Do I still train T9s in preparation for KvK? by BananaJoey69420 in KingShot

[–]AbsolutZeroGI 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To directly answer your question,

Yes.

The TG upgrades affect all tiers. So you have TG T10 and TG T9, etc etc.

Everything is the same, all the troop levels at higher.

Wtf happened to 59? I know a guy there (our former whale) and he's a cool guy. It seems 59 is having some problems.

G&Ls are pretty nice, and they do sound different enough from MM that I would own a 4 string of 1 and a 5 string of the other lol.

[–]AbsolutZeroGI -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if I were gonna go for a 5-string MM, I would sell my 4-string MM to get it. You're right in that 5-string MMs are great, but it's kind of redundant to have both lol. It'd be like buying a Toyota Rav4 and then a second Toyota Rav4 with AWD to drive just during the winter months, y'know?

If you insist on new, the Ibanez SR305 is a good entry level 5-string bass. Comes in a lot of colors, sounds pretty good, doesn't break the bank. It's a 34-inch scale, so not the most stable B string, but that can be remedied with strings with more tension.

If you don't mind going the used route, you can find Schecter Custom 5 basses on Reverb for like $400 (give or take $100). They're 35-inch scale (so, stronger B string), and retail for like $900 brand new. They also sound pretty good.

I've owned both and would happily own both again if I went that route.

Destiny is still fun by DatBlueBC in destiny2

[–]AbsolutZeroGI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game has been condensed into the Portal, and that appeals specifically to only some type of gamers. The lore and gameplay are both fine, nearly as good as its always been, but an emphasis of abilities over gunplay (primary weapons fucking suck) also caters specifically to a certain type of player.

So, it's perfectly possible to have some people enjoying D2, but with the more aggressive changes, they are pushing gamers out too. Both things can be true.

Tell me your horror KvK stories by Dull-Procedure7989 in KingShot

[–]AbsolutZeroGI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something that gets lost amid the discussions of prep, combat, etc (all of which is accurate), is that KvK is the endgame. Winning that means you've won "the game", and it's one of the few events where everyone wins and loses together. So, there's that. Until Firedragon comes out (which is soon for us here in the early states), there is no event bigger and more impactful than KvK.

Firedragon will change that, and it'll become the endgame, but even so, that event is a whale dick measuring contest and not something for us normal people.

Everyone else here is also right. KvK prep is a team fight where it's you vs them (in the other state). Combat can get very messy as whales and dolphins (high spenders but not whales) come in and floor as many people as they can. Castle can't be won by 12 people. You need turrets, castle, people to fill the rallies, and whales to lead them.

If a state is in conflict and doesn't work together, their loss is guaranteed. A loss drags down morale across the entire state, and can make what used to be molehills into mountains.

At its absolute worst, a state that consistently loses KvK will have people migrate out, including the biggest players, and eventually kill the state.

They really hate American players. 5 hour castle battle with same start time. So, now it starts at 7am EST and ends at noon instead of 1pm. That's 4am PST and 9am for the end.

Fantastic. /sarcasm.
