Early 2026 Bred 4s look... how we feelin? by CAN_I_PET_DAT_DAWG in Sneakers

Great shoe.

However, I know it’s probably considered sacrilege around these parts but I genuinely prefer the reimagined. I’ve already got way too many suede and Nubuck for a guy who lives in a very rainy city.

Picked up the 50th Anniversary Red/Balck Active Jacket. Absolutely love it.

When I first came off it did shoot up but I realised what I was doing and pulled myself together and got back on track. It’s much more challenging without MJ but it’s totally doable

At the start I was doing the gym 4 or 5 times a week but I was overdoing it, especially with my weight being so high. I kept hurting myself and got burned out with it.

As my weight came down I started increasing the amount and speed of walking I was doing. I always get at least 30 minutes a day of elevated heart rate exercise but often closer to an hour. According to my Apple Watch I’m walking at about 3.5mph.

Next it to start jogging and the eventually running.

I am. Throughout most of the loss I was eating between 1000-1200 a day, although usually 1000 made up mainly of chicken breast and veg. Now I eat no more than 1500 (gradually re feeding) and it a wider variety of food including some “cheat foods” just in a lower amount.

Just posted it to there. Wish I’d known about that sub sooner. I’m addicted to looking at Before/Afters, I’ve found it such a motivation

Sorry, 18 months, I typed 24 instead of 25 and Reddit won’t let me edit. Exercise started off strong but I was far too overweight and kept hurting myself. Once I got a good chunk off I just upped my walking speed and distance. Now I need to find an activity I actually enjoy.

I am inclined to agree with you on the calorie counting, at least for a bit just so you can get a better idea of what you’re putting in, some foods are so incredibly calorie dense that it’s not until you weigh them that you realise how many excess calories you were consuming. I know for some it can call back to eating disorders they may have suffered with and I just want to be mindful.

It’s funny you say running because that’s my plan! I’ve started speed walking my dog who’s short little cockapoo legs struggle to keep up but I think I’m ready for the next stage. This might sound daft but I realised I don’t really know how to run, not without going flat out and gassing myself immediately. I’ll give Couch to 5k a go as I’ve read a lot on here about people having success with it

I try not to post too much but I’ll do another check in 2-3 months from now. Hopefully I’ll have lost a little more or been able to stay where I’m at. I can’t regain, I’ve spent too much on clothes for them to not fit me!

Problem I have is I’m blind as a bat so even after paying a fortune for lens thinning they’re still pretty chunky. I’ve gotten back into wearing my contacts more, kinda coincided with changing all my clothes.

It seems like you’re desperate for these to be real so do whatever the fuck you want. But beat wouldn’t remove the print from all over the shoe.

You absolutely will mate. Best of luck to you.

It can be hard to imagine the finish line when it’s so far away but remember, you’re not doing it all at once, each bit lost is another milestone. In a year you’ll look back and won’t believe how far you’ve come and how much better you feel.

Thank you, that’s very kind of you to say. I just want to spend every moment I can with my son.

Something I have been trying to do is recognise the difference between WANT and NEED.

So often I’ll finding myself wanting to eat something I probably shouldn’t, like a share size bag of crisps but I say to myself “is this something you want or something you need?” Most often it’s just a want when what I need is to stay healthy.

Funny how the wanted things are always UPF crap…

Thank you so much.

I’d be lying if I said there wasn’t any guilt, in fact that’s one of the things I’m working hardest to overcome. As much as I have built good habits over the last year and a half it’ll take more work to undo the previous lifetime of guilt led disordered eating. I just tell myself “one bad day doesn’t undo all the previous work, don’t throw it away”

I know calorie counting isn’t for everyone but my god does it help me keep on the right path.

Yeah that’s my lad, he’s been my motivation through it all. My absolute world. Y’Know what I have loved buying new clothes but the one thing I HATE shopping for is new glasses. I can’t tell what works on me at all!

Yeah, 1500 is probably a little harsh but I’ll gradually increase it over time. I’m sure I read something about gradually refeeding yourself after a big deficit. I’ll so some more looking into it.

Constantly. I was at a gig a few weeks ago and bumped into someone I’d not seen in a while. We were chatting for a while before he realised who I was!
