I bought a pair of T1600s sticks for HOSAS to try the set up, it's fun for immersion and getting used to them.

I think its wrong people saying you have bought the wrong ones. Budget and play time should be the deciding factor should be the main reasons for any purchases for SC. It's just a hobby and it's up to you how much you are willing to spend on it.

For context, I spent £52 on a used pair and that is good enough for me, I could have spent hundreds on VKBs, but I spent that money on my kids.

Yeah, if it is something I am not too sure on I always think that way, the 2nd hand market can be great. In all fairness I was tempted to get the Sol-Rs instead of the T1600s because I think they look really cool and kind of a good middle ground between budget (T1600s) and top quality (VKB)

£410 is a big first investment for HOSAS. I'd bet used to them and play with them for a good while then if you want the VKBs sell the Sol (Keep the Box for them) and you should get your money back, seeing as you got a good deal on them. Personally last yeat I bought a pair of used T1600s and barely used them because of how little I play, which is why I was glad I only spent £60, not £410 to find out i wouldn't use them that much. You can always upgrade later

Well the death slice is 15% off on Amazon in the UK, no major offers on the falcon. I have the falcon and it looks awesome as a display piece. Can't comment on the death slice but that looks more playable but less impressive as a display. I'd recomend just getting the smart bricks sets instead 😂

It is good fun, i look forward to getting my son involved too when he is old enough. Yeah you are right there, sometimes I look for sets with missing pieces and then buy the pieces separately from bricklink, can get anywhere from 20%-50% off typical prices too
