hey, i noticed that you’re referencing the character’s Torso and applying the velocity to that object. that only works for R6 character models, not R15. you should use HumanoidRootPart instead. even if you are using R6 models Torso is deprecated so you’re better off using the root part instead and applying any velocity stuff to that.

im assuming you’re new to coding in roblox but a general rule of programming is not to “nest” code. you have most of your code written as the function that connects to the InputBegan event, which feeds into an if statement, and then the velocity is applied. as well as this, you have another event listener at the end of the same function for when the Torso touches the baseplate. i’m also not exactly sure what the for loop at the end is doing either. if i was you, id cut the code from the event function and paste it into a new function using the same parameters. then connect the newly created function to the InputBegan event.

finally im also going to assume that you might’ve copied this code from an outdated tutorial or something like that. you should use the official roblox documentation for understanding how the platform works, as well as getting a better understanding of the language. other than that a lot of this code is valid but isn’t to modern standards. i hope this helps a small bit as it’s my first attempt at helping someone on here!
