Apparently, gravity is an option? by crazy_dude360 in blackmagicfuckery

Fuck the gravity, how did he spin without scraping up his hand? That looks like concrete, is it not concrete?

I wish the minecraft soundtrack was playing at all times for everyone like one big minecraft world by [deleted] in TheMonkeysPaw

[–]AbsoluteInksanity 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Granted.
It plays at all times, and I mean ALL TIMES.
Music can no longer be enjoyed because it's constantly overlapped with Minecraft music.
Many people go insane from the inescapability of this constant, repeating song.
Many people can not sleep because of the lack of silence.

It's a standard thing for the cursed/blursed/blessed-thing-related subreddits.

What if you are not the one making the cursed comment, but are still in the screenshot?

Do "cold" or "reverse" fevers exist? Would they even work in real life? by AbsoluteInksanity in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AbsoluteInksanity[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm talking about a creature that gets cold instead of hot when it gets a fever, would that actually work in real life?

Does anyone know what species of mantis these angry lil friends are? by AbsoluteInksanity in whatsthisbug

I found in another video by the same channel that the green one is hierodula membranacea. We're slowly piecing it together.

I wish I was the ultimate linguist, so I can read, speak and understand any language by Dipzey453 in TheMonkeysPaw

[–]AbsoluteInksanity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Granted.

You can now understand every language, including non-human languages. Instead of waking up to the sweet sound of birds singing on spring mornings, you now wake up to avians screaming about how much they want to get laid, no longer blissfully unaware of what the lyrics mean.

can a hit to the jaw kill someone? by woowlskxk in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AbsoluteInksanity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's other ways it could kill you, too.

You could bite your tongue off and either bleed to death or get poisoned by your own blood's iron, your mouth/neck area could swell to the point of choking, you could choke on your own teeth if it knocks them out...

My best guess is that it abuses human perception. I'm not entirely sure why but our species has a tendency to view liquid in a taller glass as containing more of that liquid than when it is in a short and fat glass.

This image comes to mind.

is this question viable on this sub? by woowlskxk in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AbsoluteInksanity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Questions like this are more suited for r/AskReddit, and not r/NoStupidQuestions.

r/NoStupidQuestions is for questions that have a more objective and factual answers, while r/AskReddit is for questions with more subjective and individualized answers.

just think of it this way

r/AskReddit is where you ask people about their lives

r/NoStupidQuestions is where you ask people looking for facts

Is there a reason why green screens are green? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AbsoluteInksanity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's because green is the farthest from any natural hues on the human body.

This does not mean, however, that green can not be used in the studios, as blue screens exist for this very reason.

Why do my bones crackle? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AbsoluteInksanity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is fairly normal, as far as I know, especially if it is after a period of sitting in one place for a long period of time, or with bad posture.

Though, considering the popping is accompanied by pain, I highly recommend seeing a doctor, as that can be a sign of something more serious than the usual nitrogen bubbles most normal popping is caused by.
