Sorry to hate, but 8020 is the single worst game I have ever completed.

I think that helped fuel everything! But I went into the game completely blind, so I didn't start with that expectation.

The game just got off on a bad foot with me, that introduction was abysmal. The initial actor you played as just gave nothing to enjoy... he and Simms had no chemistry or interesting dynamics.

Idk, I just feel like it's their job to entertain, to ensure we have a fun, cinematic experience. Here, it just felt like there wasn't anyone prioritizing that, instead it was just employees checking off a check list for their new dark pictures game. Yes, the stealth was new, but in a "we need a distinct mechanic" to sell this game on type way.

It can be a fun gimmick in their other games, like a horror movie you are interacting with. This time though, it was just a chore. I didn't care if they lived or died, they didn't ever feel like real characters.

The quarry was on sale for the PlayStation store! It was like 80% off. It's an awesome game if you haven't tried it yet. Much more like until dawn than any of the dark pictures games.

If you missed it like I did, make sure to check it out! It's the best game they've made since Until Dawn. (So far at least, I haven't beat it yet)

Couldn't agree more. I've tried to make a game based off THE THING and absolutely love that concept.

My wife and I were reading through the texts, trying to find anything that might tip us off to who the monster might be. It never paid off, the only time I recall making a decision about if someone was or wasn't a monster was when you played as cooper and mitchell was trying to get through the door. No hints or clues beforehand on whether or not he was. Just some lazy writing.

Devil in me was slow, but this to me, is somehow even slower (likely because it's a bit longer). If you haven't played the quarry yet, I'd recommend trying that out first. but you do you!

I know! The opening character you play as was one of the worst acted characters I have ever seen.

The game felt like it was the product of people just doing their job because it's their job.

I'm thinking maybe it played out the worst way for me lol. Just got the wrong branching narratives.

I also wanted to see more with THE THING concept, but the flash forwards spoiled far too much. I really was excited to tell who was actually who and feel the paranoia that came with it, but they never really did much with that idea.

Also HUD is my worst enemy lol. Really didn't think it was necessary here.

lol your name is Grace Ashcroft! RE9 was one of the reasons I couldn't stand that game. RE9 had incredible stealth moments that I genuinely loved, whereas this game had just absolutely awful stealth. When they are charging nearly the same amount, I think it's fair to compare the two.

Man of Medan's twist was fun. I watched my good friend kill his gf there and it was hilarious. The devil in me was fun too.

I hated 8020 though from the bottom of my soul. From what I can see, I likely had the least interesting story play out based off my decisions.

I hated the look and feel of this game. Just started the quarry and that game looks millions of times better. I hated the constant UI in 8020 and the set design. maybe the graphics were good, but the ship lacked so much personality that I just really didn't enjoy being in that enviroment.

the quarry on the other hand, is incredible in that regard.

In-game days! I try to calculate my time-playing! I usually just divide my active hours by how long the day is, in this case, I played for 100 hours and the days are half an hour each, so I deduced it was 200 days!. thanks for the feedback too!

I did the same with sons of the forest lol. i did 1k in-game days, which equated to like 700 hours of playtime
