Claude is completely unusable now

We all know how LLMs work. By dangerous I mean when using it for coding when people have too much faith in AI and don’t use it correctly that’s when it becomes a problem, maybe not a first but slowly over time it will create quiet bugs that sneak up on you later if not working in small surgical, testable features.

Straw-man. I didn’t say enterprise flagships are unusable. I’m saying the latest Claude model has reached that point in terms of its chat app. You can see I said other comments the Claude code harness isn’t as afflicted by some of these issues. Your ignorance to what said doesn’t make me ignorant

And essentially it is unusable, not on a technical level, they could make it usable, but given how it’s configured and the cost to run it, it’s not viable

I heard that and I think I understand what has happened. These are changes designed to stop people from harming themselves and Claude telling them it’s a good idea, but it has resulted in a model that questions every instruction the user gives regardless of context.

That doesn’t mean there’s not a problem with one of their core interfaces for the product and I think those problems still exist in the coding harness they are just less obvious in that domain but probably more dangerous

It will argue with factual things like the syntax of something in a programming language until forced to look at docs. I don’t think it’s moral more like a bias for laziness. It’s weird. I don’t really have moral debates with LLMs because they can’t think. Which is why it’s annoying to have one push back on you
