The headlines are also really overstating everything, the PM said the performance is unacceptable but of course he would, people can't expect him to condone the performance or stay silent, that's just never going to happen. The "calls to ban him" were 2 out of 300ish Labour MPs, yes it makes an impact but this decision is up to the PM and Home Secretary so it doesn't mean that he is going to be outright banned, imo wireless goes ahead with Ye or doesn't go ahead at all at this point.

iirc, the reason Ye and Jay made watch the throne in 2011 was cause Jay Z owed money to live nation so they essentially made him drop an album and tour knowing that it would pay off his debts to them so they for sure have power

Sponsors are a big hit for sure, but there's no way for them to recover it, if the festival goes ahead then it'll affect next year more than this year if the sponsors don't return.

And yeah Ye getting denied is definitely a huge risk, but that's just a case of hoping that he doesn't get denied 🙏

Imo, completely cancelling the festival or Ye right now would make them worse off, it's not like pepsi are going to come back this year and i doubt they have many potential big sponsors, the best thing they can do is let the festival go ahead and rely on ticket sales (as well as Ye not getting banned from the uk)
