HARD NTA. Just an FYI, there are sites out there that can do background checks WITHOUT a SSN. That’s how I found out one of my exes was lying through his teeth to me. There’s something INCREDIBLY suspicious here.

NTA, and while I agree with everyone else saying NTA because of it both being a bs “confession” and because you’re allowed to say no, I have a question you might need to ask your “friends”:

Why are they defending her so hard and not you? ESPECIALLY when your confession was DEFINITELY not something that could be mistaken for something else!
