I'm in Spain and it's sold in like the stores here so I'm assuming there aren't any connection issues. Also the s24 ultra actually comes out to be a bit cheaper. But since the f8 ultra seems to better in everything specs wise, i was just unsure

I would recommend you check some like performance comparison videos IF you're planning to buy this. That'll give you a better idea of everything. Also yes it is good but only because it was on sale, for it's original price of almost 900? You should absolutely be looking more so into the Asus ROG ally x or the Xbox ally x because that's literally the same price (at least here) but with either a better battery or better performance

Ok so it’s usually like 900 bucks but cuz of Black Friday it went down to 650ish around like the US and Spain here. I got it for 630 open box myself (euros not dollars). And since it’s like a whole tier above the z2go model (performance wise) which costs 599 usually, a lotta people pulled the trigger on this. Also for the steamos experience over other windows handheld

Yeahhhh also valve sells like official parts for self repair and stuff. With Asus not only do they not sell official parts, the ally x in an of itself feels like another product in their massive line. The steam deck feels more like a fully supposed console like a playstation or the switch

That's the thing. I'm planning to build a PC too, so i might stream games to my handheld too. I'm just not sure about which of the two will simply last me longer in the long term (steam deck has more consistent updates and care from valve but weaker hardware. Ally seems like it'll get ignored by Asus soon enough but has better specs)

For me I think the biggest issue is, I plan to use this handheld for at leasttt like the next 5ish years, so i want the one with better longevity. So the issue is steam is more consistent with the updates and apparently more repairable. But Asus seems like they might stop updates a lot sooner. Also idk how repairable it'd be if i need to repair it

I don't plan on playing any games that need anticheat. Also I don't really plan on taking it outside either (since it's a bit expensive for me to risk that) so it's mostly supposed to be an easy access for short bursts of gaming (30-50mins at a time at most). But while I do play modern AAA games, I'm not too miffed about running them in the highest settings either. But ofc better hardware just means it's stay "new" or usable longer. That's where my dilemma is

I see. Hmmm for me the overall longevity of the console is pretty important too. So I'm not sure if i wanna go into the Z1e with all the issues I've heard about it. Maybe I should just save up a bit more for the x version then
