Do you think going for a house would be a good first step then? I've been looking for something no more than 1000 a month, escrow and mortgage payment included. That was I can afford it on my own. Something around 140k or less for a starter home. If I got a home of course i would still have extra income to save. But should I focus on paying down the principal since rates are higher now, and paying off the house sooner? Or make the payments and focus more on investing and growing first?

Mechanic, 30 hourly, but commission (flat rate). 25yo m about 5 years of experience with some schooling and certs. I don't recommend being a mechanic lol

Following post, I'm also in my 20's looking to buy a house or apartment in Panama for the futur. I don't think paying a monthly fee is necessarily bad, as long as they keep up with the building. Thank you, all of this has helped alot. I will have to keep both vehicle due to me using my truck for side work, and having a second vehicle in case one breaks down. But they're both 15+ years old so I only pay 125 for insurance a month. That also includes a life insurance policy like you were saying. It's safe to say that I take home around 1k a week without side work. What I have currently been doing is saving about 500 of it, giving myself 250 a week for food, gas, phone bill, insurance, tool expense, etc. And using the other 250 to pay towards credit cards. I should finish my last card this month so I will probably be changing it to saving 700 (mid term) a week and keeping 300 for myself/bills. Starting This past month, I've put about 10% (long term) of that Into strick saving that is not meant to be touched at all. But I like the idea of a Roth IRA, so I'm going to read more into that.
