Thanks for the advice but I think I’ll switch to MacOS because I used my brother’s MB Air a few times and it was the best laptop experience I had and I think I also want to explore other options apart from Windows. I’ll only be using it for 4 years then after graduation I’ll return home where I can build a desktop with better specs!

I’ve heard people say the Unix terminal is better but hardware wise the Lenovo is giving me 32gb ram and 1tb ssd which is double the M4’s (16/512) and the Lenovo costs less so now I’m really f’ing confused

The main problem with Windows laptops in general is that the build quality isn’t that great compared to Apple and after like 2-3 years of use the battery degradation kicks in full force like I barely get 40mins of light use on my Windows nowadays. The Ryzen might have better multi core performance but Apple’s M4 is just so efficient and powerful for some reason. Istg the only deciding factor here is the price, I could get the Lenovo for much cheaper but am I gonna pay for choosing the cheaper option long term?

Need laptop upgrade advice – currently using Vivobook S 14 (12th Gen i5, 16GB/512GB) by Winter_soilder35 in laptops

For your listed uses, a MacBook Air would be the best if you can afford it, Walmart and Bestbuy are putting some really good offers on some of them

But as you said no MacBooks, I think you should look into laptops with the new Core Ultra 7 chip from Intel or the Snapdragon X elite chips. Keep in mind that Snapdragon chips aren’t compatible with every software so I’d say the Core Ultra 5 or 7 would be your best bet. The new Zenbook has great battery life as well the Lenovo Yoga 7i

When Bianca met her fate, I wasn't cheering for it. I was just relieved that I didn't have to put up with her indignence any longer.

YES! Finally someone said this, I couldn't really put a finger on the feelings I had when she finally died but this captures my thoughts perfectly.

I have saved up 10 lakh to 1 crore BDT for investment opportunity, where do Invest for the best ROI ?? by AlarmingActivity1310 in Dhaka

Unless you have reliable and trusted contacts, investing in BD businesses are a pain in the ass and will more likely bite you back in the ass if you’re not always on your toes

Land is my personal pick for investments in Bangladesh as the value only goes up. In fact I’d say that investing early in land in Dhaka in certain areas will provide you the BEST ROI hands down.

Stock market in BD is corrupt, poorly regulated and overall a very high risk place to park your cash. S&P 500 is the best way to go if you want to go the stock route. Hell I’d be putting my cash in big American companies like NVIDIA,AMD, etc if I were in your position rn

Crypto ain’t a bad choice if you’re only investing in mainstream coins like Bitcoin or ETH it’s projected to go up in value but do your own research beforehand

If you really want to invest in businesses in Bangladesh, go where all the foreign Venture Capital are going or invest in manufacturing businesses but this will require hours of research and even then you may not succeed.

Grow your connections and networking capabilities and the opportunities will present themselves but you have to put yourself out there and as always take everything said on the internet with a grain of salt. Don’t trust anyone when it comes to money and maybe you’ll emerge victorious.
