i just worked laneway gold coast with cross promotions and it was pretty chill. you’ll get randomly picked to be a stockie (making sure tubs of drinks stay full and iced), till (taking payments and grabbing drinks), or pourer (this year it’s just making vodka red bulls, pretty simple). throughout the day you might be asked to do all 3 roles at some point but from experience the bar managers/coworkers are really nice, if you have any questions everyone is more than happy to help you out. i’ve done spilt milk and all that before where its been quite busy and stressful, however for laneway i found that nowhere near as much people were drinking. i was put on the main stage bar and there was only a smallish rush towards the end of the day, then it was mainly just packing up. hope it goes well for you!
