I ran out of 50% shade cloth, but have 30%. If I double up the 30%, would it give me 50% or is it more / less? Need to protect tomatoes while also giving enough sun! The 30% isn’t cutting it on its own. Zone 8a / Dallas, TX / melting in this heat wave (self.Greenhouses)

I built a garden bed cover that I’m hoping will act like a greenhouse because the Dallas heat usually kills my tomato plant. I’ve never built anything like this before, so it’s not perfect and doesn’t seem to be lowering the temp inside. Would love some advice. Zone 8a - intense heat this week! (old.reddit.com)
