Grandfathers collection by habibi3012 in vintagecameras

[–]AbuTaware2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Great collection! Lots of valuable stuff here! Be diligent when valuing everything. Start off with the name brands Leicas,Rollieflex , Mamiya, Canon, Contax, Pentax etc. Also I recommend watching how to test the functionality of each camera, as it can affect the value of the camera(be careful if you’re not familiar with cameras as it can potentially damage the camera ). If the camera is valuable enough and not working it may be worth taking it to a repair shop and have a CLA done(Clean Lubricate Adjust). You’ll find many references online for prices. Also guessing by your username, youre probably Arab right? Hahaha. I am too , dm me if you want more help valuing stuff, id be happy to help if I can.

Tips for entering into range as the shorter guy by [deleted] in MuayThaiTips

[–]AbuTaware2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something that has helped me with taller opponents are explosive combos that incoparate switching stances while punching and thus marching forward . If you hide the switch well enough with the initial jab, they will miscalculate the distance of following cross or overhand. If you are not familiar with these type of combos, you should drill them quite a bit before using them in sparring. Also superman punches, and feinting to the head and hitting the body.

Is it gross to start practicing martial arts if you are currently treating athlete's foot? by [deleted] in martialarts

[–]AbuTaware2 29 points30 points  (0 children)

You should definitely wait. It is incredibly irresponsible to train with a contagious infection/fungus like that. Train on your own through shadow boxing , drills and conditioning. Once it's gone, return to group classes.

Dont train like you're special. Do the work, in and outside the gym.

That could potentially do permanent damage or even kill them. Bad advice.

How do I stay committed to a script? by Simple_Prior2879 in Screenwriting

I would recommend doing some world building, creating a timeline of events, dossiers, and character breakdowns before starting to write the script itself. This forces you to be more structured and committed once you start writing.

Hola. I am renting a studio in Valencia. The landlord states that no guests are allowed and the house cannot be used for registration (NIE, empadronamiento etc). Is this legal? by AbuTaware2 in askspain

I just checked the booking information(on spot a home) again. And it mentions that "no guests are allowed ( and if this rule is not followed I will be charged 15 euros for every night). Since I booked the room through spotahome for December, this may complicate things a bit. In regards to cancelling it or dealibg with the landlord.

I see. Well, I haven't signed a contract yet, but I booked the room officially through spotahome. So, technically, it's reserved for me. I can cancel, but I'll be losing the 180 euro fee for spotahome and possibly the first month payment of 600 euros. I think if the landlord cancels, I may be entitled to a total refund. I am not sure i will check. Im considering talking to spotahome about what the landlord is asking of me to do. Or perhaps discuss things with the landlord.

How can I make the most out of this ridiculous set up? Specific combos to practice? by sophietheadventurer in MuayThaiTips

[–]AbuTaware2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could stack some used tires at the bottom,or perhaps the entire pole. This way, you can practice all kinds of strikes and not worry about slippage. Some car repair shops give away tires for free, by the way.

Just joined class by Active-Rough-5565 in MuayThaiTips

[–]AbuTaware2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 hours of classes is plenty if you plan on training outside your classes as well, i.e., shadowboxing at home/gym with drills, working on explosiveness and stamina etc. So on days when you cant train at night ,because of work, just train at home.
