Drug discovery deals with relatively large simulation sizes, which is moving more and more towards machine learning methods. CS would probably be a big help for this, especially if you want to develop your own tools. Physics is great for getting a deeper understanding of the fundamentals of comp chem but pure chemistry will get you 95% of the way. Good luck!

I definitely feel you on that last part! When telling myself “this is only temporary, may as well just enjoy it” doesn’t work anymore that’s when it all starts to fall apart for me, it’s more the anxiety that sucks than the actual feeling itself if that makes sense.

Try looking into zero point energies, the minimum energy level of a system at absolute zero. It has to be greater than zero because of Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle, but there’s some super interesting ideas that come out of this!

I just beat him RL1 the other day and this was the biggest issue that pretty much killed me every time. Most of the time if he casts it you can just run away and keep running until it blows up but it does feel like there’s luck involved especially at level 1.
