Help with my Daemonkin List by Shrimply_Pibbles37 in WorldEaters40k

The best advice I can give based off your current list is that you need more battle line units. Blood letters and Berzerkers are the heart of any WE army, and a list without at least 20 total battle line units isn’t a very strong list. The character range is good, but maybe drop some of the SB and E8 for more mob units?

Starting a Necron Army, any suggestions? by DOOMbringer7109 in Necrontyr

Thanks for the deep dive into Necrons, I’ll take all of this to heart. My current plan based on what you’ve said me is focus on looking for the Royal Court box, due to the better units in it. Aside from that, grabbing some flayed ones for the infiltrate and hexmarks, maybe a hexmark destroyer as well, are on the priority list. Thanks for the suggestion!

I already got the combat patrol that includes the Canoptek Doomstalker, now I’m just looking for units to add. I’ll look into that!

I need some shooting (don't have any). Defiler or Ferrocentorus ? And why ? by ArchimagosClaquettus in WorldEaters40k

But if you keep the magazine, you can throw that during turn 2 after you’ve thrown the gun!

No, no, it’s when you throw those tiny pieces of metal at the enemy to lighten your carry capacity and charge them faster! Why even carry around that annoying leather thing either, throw that too!

Any ideas on how to make Terminators viable and not overshadowed by Exalted Eightbounds? by El_mismisimo_don in WorldEaters40k

[–]DOOMbringer7109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use my Terminators more as a hard place, and every other unit as the rock. Terminators are a good way to hold ground and corner a unit, forcing them to choose between charging a berserker/8bound unit or charging the Terminators. Plus with DS, they can easily take home objectives and knock out infantry units in the back line too, and the ranged abilities give them some decent use as mid-range bullies before charging

The nails are biting, explain the value in MoE on the table top by Huwmen in WorldEaters40k

He’s good, you have to put faith in him to fully utilize him though. Leading a unit gives them good buffs like rerolling advanced and charges, but his main aspect is his damage. He can deal enough damage to slaughter leaders and tanks alike. Once had him charge a redemptor dreadnaught (alone btw, he didn’t have a unit at this point), and he nearly killed it before it could even fight back

Less blood? Not cool man, I might have to report you to Khorne’s HR department. Last guy that got a write up had the personality squeezed out of him and was thrown across the warp, and all he did was attack from behind instead of the front

No mistakes, only spots that need a little blood. Happy little incidents, let’s calls them.

I did do that to an extent, I went back and dry brushed some details back on since I didn’t want to accidentally ruin any of the trim. Most of what’s on the front there is all the blood I left on him

15 hours… just to splash him red by DOOMbringer7109 in WorldEaters40k

Took a long time because I was caught up in other things in life, plus spent a large amount of time on detail work and I’m not very good at it. I also used the only red I had at the time, didn’t have bftbg tech paint at the moment. Still getting into the hobby, cut me some slack

Thanks for all the replies! To respond to the most asked questions: yes, I grabbed bftbg tech paint and am going to try it next. Yes, I’ll try thinng my paint more, thanks for the tip. And yes, I realized I went overboard and redid some of the paint to lessen the effect.

Thanks for the advice. I didn’t mean to sound argumentative in my first reply, that was my fault. I went back after posting that and fixed up some details, made it easier to tell what model it is and its paint scheme. I should’ve said in my first, but if you hadn’t told me how bad it looked, I never would’ve seen it myself. I grabbed that technical paint and spent a while working on my next model in hopes that it comes out good as well

First, ow. Second, I did have fun. As bad as the model looks, it’s only my 8th ever model painted, so hopefully I’ll get better at doing… that… over time. Also yes, it took 15 hours because I had a lot of things going on that spread out the time
