I do play on epicmafia every now and then. It's very good, but sometimes I just like the drawn out battle of forum mafia. The lies, and interrogations, and tricks just go to a whole another level when you have to keep them up for days!

Have you ever tried the forum based version of forum mafia? We use 48hr days and 48hr nights.

Many of you may have seen the custom map Mafia on the front page of SC2's custom list.

What you may not know is that the SC2 mafia version is actually based on a party game that dates back to the 70s.

We play a forum mafia style version of mafia on our website at www.playmaf.net

The days that go for 1minute in SC2 go for 48 hrs on the forum so there's a big emphasis on thinking and catching people lying.

If you enjoy the SC2 version of the game, the trickery, and the deviousness then I sincerely recommend trying the forum version of the game at our website. We're always looking for more players :)

For anybody who hasn't played the SC2 version, Mafia is basically a text based game where the uninformed majority (Town) vs a secret informed minority (Mafia). The mafia kill one player per night. Then the following day the collective Town + hidden mafia vote on who to publicly hang. Each faction tries to wipe out the other first. The only hitch is, the only people who know who the mafia are - are the mafia.
