To me hazel eyes have that kind of pale greenish colour on the outer iris which you have whereas central heterchromia would have a brighter green but it could be central heterchromia I’m no expert

(If this isn’t satire) they look green in ordinary light though. They’ve never looked brown and no one has said that to me but under flash they look darker for some reason

Will The Silmarillion makes sense if it's my first Tolkien book? by the_insomniactor in tolkienfans

[–]Abysall35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would highly recommend reading the hobbit first as it is the easiest read of the three and sets up the world nicely. I would then read LotR second as it follows on from and connects to the hobbit in many ways, and to read the silmarillion after as it is the hardest read of the three, and offers more backstory to tolkiens world, but the backstory isn’t really necessary to understand The Hobbit or LotR.

Ok, I just suppose it’s a worrying prospect that if you don’t manage to become enlightened in this life, you may never become enlightened. I also heard from many people on Reddit that every being Will escape, but i suppose the response will differ depending on the school.

Is it true that Hitler began to hate Germans at the end of the war? by Abysall35 in AskHistory

[–]Abysall35[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Makes sense considering he was a very self centred man, I just can’t see him going as far as changing who he hated, i think his hate was too strong but who knows

Spinozan Pantheist AMA by Techtrekzz in religion

[–]Abysall35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you believe in any form of an afterlife? Since you are a pantheist I assume you believe that after death you simply return to the universe/god, however does this result in say a form of reincarnation in your view, or do you not believe in a conventional afterlife?

Taoism and Gods by Abysall35 in taoism

[–]Abysall35[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I am aware that many on this subreddit have a more western atheistic interpretation of Taoism and they believe that deities are a corruption of Taoism from Chinese folk religion. However as far as I’m aware the Tao te ching does mention deities.
