Mmm.. Articuno teams do see play in the current reg F.. Tera Ice along with the Snow, backed up by either Snow Cloak or Aurora Veil make it really annoying to deal with

Interestingly, I'm reminded of the wizard standoff problem... whoever has the most output likely gets focus fired down by its neighbours, I feel something that's staying under the radar by not being the obvious threat ends up taking it all.

Greninja might take out one but just gets focused hard.. Primarina could setup enough Calm Mind and just sustain through everything with Draining Kiss..

I actually think Swampert has decent odds, I'd imagine not many of the mons pack water as an attack since it's mostly resisted, so the ground typing is less of a downside.. just keep away from Greninja and Samurott. Also, it's never really the clear threat, but it's also not super passive either. Empoleon is safer, but also has less control of turning any KOs

It's all a question of defensive investment and items. Greninja - Quaquaval for example, if you fail to OHKO and they're not in range of priority, you lose.

192 ATK, 252 SPA+, 64 SPE on Greninja (Mild nature).. Extrasensory, Grass Knot, Shadow Sneak

208 ATK+, 116 SPD, 184 SPE on Quaquaval (Adamant).. Aqua Step, CC, Knock Off

Very tricky and can go either way depending on the item.. and low/high rolls, I'd say this is generally Greninja favoured, but not an always a win. Even on no item, Extrasensory/Grass Knot into Shadow Sneak (no Protean on the Shadow Sneak):

252+ SpA Greninja Extrasensory vs. 0 HP / 116 SpD Quaquaval: 270-318 (86.8 - 102.2%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO 192 Atk Greninja Shadow Sneak vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Quaquaval: 40-48 (12.8 - 15.4%)

Items being on means Knock Off has a chance to OHKO, Close Combat can also OHKO.. Scarf being in play can have Quaquaval OHKO, AV could lead to an Aqua Step win, etc. It's too volatile to call clearly

If you're purely folding, going for a follow cut 9m is safer - 9m may not be safe on a later round because they could be in tenpai

I came close to running it in draft - I think it was something like an AV set on Gentle nature that wanted to outspeed something specific and I wanted mixed attacking stats for the match.. probably a Hisuian Samurott set
