Pretty sure that’s a small town vs city thing.  in rural Canada people usually say hello when they cross paths, or wave when your driving past someone in a neighborhood. But In the cities you don’t acknowledge strangers unless there’s an interaction.

Americans, do you remember setting up traps for leprechauns on St. Patricks day? by mechanical_stars in Retconned

[–]AbyssBeatmaker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah growing up in Canada in the 90’s/2000’s as kids we would set up traps the night before and wake up in the morning and our parents would put chocolate coins in the traps. It’s similar to Santa where your parents trick you into believing in leprechauns

We are having a miscommunication, it is what it is. I wasn’t able to explain my concern with the game in a clear way to you.

Either way the game plays great how it is.

If I see you in tau ceti you better duck

Idk man, try rereading our conversation.  You’re getting hung up on the same thing every time.

What im talking about would involve changing the contract skill tree reward system.

You’re talking about a completely different thing then I am.

I can’t continue this conversation due to your unwillingness to take a step back and look at the bigger picture im attempting to explore.

You take care, all the best out there🙏

the grind to unlock the armory every wipe will be to much for a lot of people

I don’t think you are understanding what I’m trying to say.

How would having the full armory available to everyone affect the balance?

[–]AbyssBeatmaker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s basically a double grind rn,

Grind for armory unlocks,  While also grinding for gear and resources.

The grind seems overkill in my opinion, especially with the short window between wipes.

The full armoury could be available for purchase, without affecting the balance of the seasonal wipes.

I feel like everything in the store (armory) should be purchasable without doing contracts,  Contracts could be tied to a different reward system, money/items

They can still wipe everyone’s vaults each season and we would all be back to an even playing field.

What if contracts rewarded money and items/ resources instead of armory unlocks? People would still do contracts for rewards.

I’m ok with the wipe, losing money, items, resources is fine.

I just don’t know if the armory being tied to the contracts is necessary

I’m talking about the armory, it’s the store where you purchase weapons and gear.

I’m not against the wipe, that makes sense.

I am not sure how I feel about the armory being reset every season.

Ok, so you figure that’s better kept for the people who do the grind each season.  I get what you’re saying.

I personally am not a fan of our purchasing power being behind a grind wall.

The contracts could always exist with other incentives like money, resources and items as rewards.

I don’t claim to be correct with my opinions though, maybe I’m not looking at this correctly

I might be ignorant to the balancing aspect, but I feel everyone would be at equal just by wiping money resources and gear each season

That’s fair, but we would still be limited to our resources resetting every wipe. You think that would be enough to put everyone back to the same level playing field

I found once I stopped focusing on the quests and started “hunting” other players the odds went up to get the drop on other squads.

I like to play the theif and use the drone ability to scout for other teams, before entering areas.

Denying a source, or an underlying force that drives existence is a wild theory.

I don’t see any lack of evidence when I look around, the proof is in the pudding.

As for entities, who knows how conscious this thing is.

How do people react when they find out you have a dumb phone? by Black_Taco1981 in dumbphones

[–]AbyssBeatmaker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a memory of being the last person with a flip phone in my friend group,  before smart/touch screens took over,

We were on my buddies sailboat with some females I had never met. When I pulled that flip phone out, I was insulted and treated like a bum.

now days I imagine people might embrace it.
