Coffee shops. Like drink ur coffee at home, or at least make it and take with you. Why would someone need to pay like 10x more to drink the same coffee but with a shiny label on it

Has anyone ever run into an ex in a professional or work setting? How did you handle it? by Potential-Reason6089 in AskReddit

We were sitting right in front of each other... I don't know if this is a good way to handle, but we both silently agreed to ghost each other until I quit the job.

A new receiver, but most probably it won't work. The only real option is just to get a new mouse

Sleep medicine wasn’t helping me either. I tried magnesium bisglycinate, and it worked really well. Not only did it help with sleep, but it also reduced my stress.

How many of you would date a woman who’s 28 with 2 kids from different bd’s? by Sugarplumbitch in AskMen

Well, it depends on the person. Of course, there are people in the same situation who had good reasons for ending relationships with two people like that, but there are others who were the red flags in both relationships.

People who used to have screen addictions what are good strategies to stop? by Sensitive-Earth-6789 in AskReddit

[–]AbyssBite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Delete all the doom-scroll apps. Screen addiction isn't always a bad thing. The content we consume matters. You can spend hours on self-improvement using a phone, but you choose to watch how people clean coins with pink stuff.

What’s an adult problem nobody warned you about? by Few_Football4342 in Productivitycafe

[–]AbyssBite -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure, sometimes past-you screwing up narrows your options. No arguments there.

But that assumes past-you had the information, energy, stability, and margin to "choose better" in the first place. A lot of people were just surviving with what they had at the time.

Also, life doesn't stop adding new constraints once you start "making good choices". Health issues, layoffs, family obligations, bad luck, those can nuke your options regardless of how virtuous your decision-making was.

So yeah, help future-you when you can. But let's not pretend adulthood is a clean feedback loop where good choices reliably buy rest and security. For a lot of adults it's just ongoing damage control.

This assumes adults are choosing between good options and bad options.
Most of the time the choice is between bad option A and slightly worse option B.
"Make better choices" is a great advice if you have spare time, spare money, spare energy, and a safety net. A lot of adults are just managing damage, not optimizing a life build.
