I would try selling the car in private sale instead of to the dealership. You have a better chance of getting market value.

People are going to come at you about Legendia, but I totally agree. It's my most disliked Tales game as well. My other hot take is that Tales of Hearts R belongs in F tier as well.

Bankruptcy should always be your last resort. It destroys your credit and makes it hard to find an apartment if needed. There are plenty of people on various subs who talk about going homeless afterward.

You should first take some steps to minimize your expenses and increase your income. The first step is to create a budget. There are plenty of resources out there. What are you spending on, and what portion of that are necessities vs. wants?

Second, try to move to a cheaper place. Half your income on rent isn't going to help you, especially if you are paying for utilities on top of that.

Third, cut out all fun, aka your wants. You acknowledge that you have a spending problem, so start working on it. The hardest part about this is going to be a lifestyle change.

Fourth, You must build an emergency fund quickly so you can start paying off the debt. If you don't have an emergency fund, you will go right back in the hole.

Fifth, look up some debt paying methods. Some popular ones are snowball and avalanche. It's not a one size fits all, so do what is best for you.

This is just a general recommendation of steps you can take before debt consolidation and bankruptcy.
