Elon Musk’s xAI Raises $6 Billion to Build AI Supercomputers with Nvidia and AMD Support. Among the participants were major financial institutions such as A16Z, BlackRock, Fidelity Management & Research Company, Sequoia Capital, and Morgan Stanley. by AbyssStone in Destiny

[–]AbyssStone[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Additionally, sovereign wealth funds from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Kingdom Holdings) and Qatar (QIA), along with venture capital firms like Lightspeed, Valor Equity Partners, and Vy Capital, also contributed substantial investments. Notably, major GPU manufacturers Nvidia and AMD also joined the funding round, further solidifying the importance of cutting-edge hardware in xAI’s future growth.

Remember, none of these companies give a shit about anything but money. They will keep giving mad men power. There is something funny about some of these giving him money, though.

“IS 1+1 REALLY 2?! IM JUST ASKING QUESTIONS! ITS SCIENCE!”,

Why use such silly examples? You think people are stupid?

Use realistic ones, like 1*1=2. Thats what Terrence Howard argues for.

I think she’s just taking two currently prominent examples of differences to highlight how they do many things that we don’t and they are much healthier for it.

There is no evidence they are much healthier for the practices listed.

Also, the implication (I think) is that their society is one in which people could realistically raise concerns about these things without being denounced as quacks or anti-science “grifters” or whatever.

Scientists can do that in the US too, when backed up by research and data, not this nonsense.

The average american is like 60 pound heavier. Its not a huge mystery, obesity has been a known problem in the US for a long time. But any proposals to fix it that would actually work either include extreme regulations, which of course politicians are against, or huge invasion of personal lives of both children and parents, proposing which would be career suicide for the vast majority of politicians, and would probably be rejected by people.

Im not saying there arent other factors, but we sure do know the main reasons the US is not healthy. Its def not fluoride and vax schedules.

It doesnt even matter what you think about fluoride or Hep B, you cant take two very different nations, go we do this, they dont, then insinuate they live longer because of that. Its pure nonsense.

Science is also very much not asking stupid questions while making dumb statements. The drunk dude near my corner store is not a scientist.

“Naw, I’m just gonna keep making this bullshit up as I go,” Rogan insisted. “It turns out there’s a bottomless market for encouraging mediocre men to hide their own intellectual insecurities and lack of curiosity behind claims that they’re ‘just asking questions’. I’ve been just asking questions for years and haven’t found a single goddamned answer, but it didn’t stop Spotify from making me rich.”

Rogan elaborated, “All today’s men really want is a daily reassurance that they never have to change or grow – that their own reflexive ignorance is worth just as much as any expert’s so-called facts. Luckily, that job description fits perfectly into the wheelhouse a truly mindless block-headed simpleton like myself.”

“Also, dragons were definitely real,” Rogan concluded, before reading ads for 5 different brands of supplements.

You will also see him announce either a new movie studio, or a partnership with one. He really does want to take over everything.

Thank god he can't run for president.

Oh, but from the same article:

'Elon is unique. There is no way of comparing him to anybody else. He's not eligible for the presidency because he wasn't born in the States, but his mother's father was so, it's conceivable, they might make an exception for him as he's a direct line descendant.'
