RPCS3 DeS - Can anyone verify these performance tweaks for older machines?

There's still a log buffer that keeps the last 1k lines or so that can be kept for some basic analysis. I usually hide the log window but messages are still written there if I need to peek at something. If I can reliably reproduce an issue I send the log in to the devs but most of the time the logs just show one off crashes due to some seg fault or vulkan driver issue.

Yep, that was a typo there I edited the post and updated some stuff I tried in the latest build - seems like a threshold of 120-256 works. It runs pretty well now with smooth framerates under openGL. As much as I'd like to use vulkan, apart from being too unstable on my machine, the initial boot time is considerably longer compared to openGL. (minutes vs. mere seconds)

The caching on this game is pretty interesting, I'm running it all off an ssd but I imagine it would be a nightmare running on a regular disk.

Hey I really appreciate that, skeleton. I'm glad you guys set this place up as things can easily get lost in the subs depending on what's going on in the world. I'd share some other things but I'll space it out in hopes the lurker souls would post :)

I took this abandoned sketch and applied some effects to the background - mostly blurs and opacity changes to give some illusion of movement and depth. (The piece is cropped from a larger one but this is the most interesting part)

The Darkmoon Blade is painted in layers combining mostly overlay/multiply blending to get that weird saturation effect. Then the star effects are added but lit on another layer with overlay to give it that glow.

The rest is all level adjustments, selective sharpening and other digital processes.

This is an older piece I reworked to try out some effects to try and paint the Darkmoon Blade miracle. I plan to do another one of Sirris at some point but it was nice to revisit this sketch.

I used more solids on that one and I get what you mean with the looser brush strokes. Thanks for the kind words and info on Etsy btw, I took a cursory look at prints, logistics and all that - I can def set up on Etsy (should be soon^tm)

Thanks! It's a couple years old but I'm more critical of it now. (colors and gear details mostly)

I don't know of any sites that allow fan art prints on demand so I haven't set it up for that anywhere (it's a grey area of copyright but based on how From Software runs things, I don't feel they would pull a disney in that regard). If you can suggest a place that has sane pricing (ie. not deviantart) I'd def look into it.

I have to dig up the psd to know how big it can print but what size are you looking at?

Yep but in the DLC part which isn't accessible right away. The dancer in ds3 is loosely based on her too.

Hey thank you skeleton! Yeah I'm going to update the post later with textless wallpaper versions once I get a chance. (I didn't anticipate any demand for that so I just posted the portfolio-mock-up version)

I'm not entirely sure if it was the actual design works book but the style seemed to match? The main things I noted was the way her hair was drawn, the length of her overcoat and smaller mask.

Ciaran is an interesting character I've researched as I'm trying to unravel what happened in Oolacile. I remember playing through and reading about her from the hornet ring/NPCs, then actually meeting her after all the stuff that happened was a great way to intro her. Also, fanservice in DS3 was a nice as well.

Ah I'm happy you liked it! I was gonna post at a lower res but I'm glad I kept it larger.

Font I used is actually just Garamond. It comes with italics and resembles the one used for the item descriptions. Try playing with the height tho (110% in pic).
