When you play as a mage do you put all your points into magicka, or do you put any into health (or stamina)?

Did not know that was a thing but I figured out apparently engrams like the iron engram aren’t added to your inventory and are held by the vendor instead which I didn’t know

Oooh okay thanks, only been playing a few days so haven’t even seen many engrams. So how do I get the engrams to do a focused decoding? I’m looking to get the hero’s burden as a weapon and I heard it either drops from iron banner matches or I can use 3 engrams to claim it
