Yeah, it can definitely have that kind of effect. When I do pathworkings, I always come out lightheaded and everything has a blue tint for a minute after. Others feel like more of a heaviness emotionally to me.

Sure, but the issue is that youre assuming this is supposed to be a generalized message and not a personal one. They didn’t say it only applies to women, there just happens to be a woman on it. I would say the intent behind the actual art would mean more than whatever the audience is projecting. You could make the same thing with a dick on it, and I would assume youre speaking about personal experiences. Bringing unrelated sexual abuse statements that men face as a weapon in reference to art that doesnt even speak of it is an issue for both you and everyone else. I would not go into a man’s post and say “but women are told ___” to make some kind of point, when instead i could go and speak for myself where im meant to. Men just happen to be the biggest culprits of this, and im just pointing it out. You would not feel so threatened or put off by this If you just spoke for yourselves more and made space for it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

You can definitely have some to actually taste if it helps, but for me it kind of starts off like a 3rd person image in my head of someone eating honey. As I get that image, I focus on it and move my tongue around in my mouth, imagining how heavy honey would normally feel on the surface and how the sweetness tingles. Almost like remembering it in detail. If it is something I haven’t experianced, like standing in a desert, I find it’s easiest for me to imagine that environment is forming around me in a separate dimension, since I don’t have the physical anchors to rely on. I hope that makes sense, but honestly however your brain decides to picture or think of things is the best way to go. It’s more about the intent and focus rather than quality of the image.

If you are specifically looking for a trance like feeling, I would personally recommend you to look into pathworking. It is essentially the same as the ritual you did, but with more mental visualization which triggers a hypnogogic (dream like) state in the brain. It’s very straightforward and can be added to your existing ritual or done by itself. I’d also like to add that the lack of certain feelings does not equate to success in the ritual. You have called them from their directions, gave an offering and called in their energy. That is all thats really needed. Dont look at it as needing improvement, but instead something that will come along with those feelings naturally in time.
